ok i have a 91 waggon and it seems like both rear tires spin on the ice and snow and has alot of traction. now my 88 only 1 tire spin and doesent seem to grab as good.and the 88 has new tires and 91 r about 1/2 tred at best. also 88 is stick and 91 is a auto. so is there lsd in rear?

im not sure if this applies to you, it might just be the JDM wagons.

No posi.Your New tires could be of a lower grip than the ones on the 91.Also new tires need to be heat cycled to grip better.Can be done by running the new tires on the front for a while before switching it back to the rear OR 2 laps around a AUTOX course.
The weight might be a factor(weight transfer).The '91 is a lot heavier(300 lbs(140kgs)).
