Attached emblem and installed gregparts rear wiper delete plug. It’s 3D printed and had the 3D print look to it so I sanded it down with 320G, 2K Prime and used the same Trim Black rattle can that I used for the door frames. Looks a lot better.
Thanks Homie! Yes handles and mirrors are going all trim black. I might be doing something a little different with the mirrors. Not sure yet.
Brought my camera to work. Need to learn how to use it more effectively now.
First time she's been outside in over a year. Looks even better outside.
Trim blacked the outside of the rear corner lights and cleared the inners. One of the outer lights is super dark for some reason. Maybe it because one was the original light and the other was from my parts car? I dunno. I'm just going to have to clear the other one to see. None of the parts are 100% installed ready to go just mocking them up for motivational purposes lol. Next is too trim black all the pieces on the lift gate and remove the old tint.
Def going to be the nicest restored wagon in the US. Props to you for taking the time and doing it right. Also, thanks for responding to my question above regarding the bumper restoration. Looks incredible! Wish my wagon could come visit your 'spa' for a while, lol.
Appreciate the kind words. Looks like the hard work is paying off! The minute you start rushing through things they won’t turn out the way you want and have regrets especially with body work and painting. No problem! Glad I could help a little. It would be a very long spa haha.
Installed lift gate shocks, made some gaskets for the twilights, painted the spoiler and some other trim on the lift gate.
I have been taking a break from the bodywork side of things. Jumped into the motor/everything else but body work and paint related things to catch a breath lol.
Finished up my pedals. Had them powder coated. Need the gasket that goes in between the brake booster and fire wall in order to bolt it all down for good. Ordered the pedal covers as well.
Going to have a catch can/breather system and remove all the old PCV stuff. Installed JBtuned block fittings/block plug and there was another port that needed to be blocked off as well so I will be using a allen head plug for that. Going to run 10AN to the catch can. Also installed the connecting pipe for the coolant to the back of the block along with the thermostat housing, thermostat and thermostat cover. I will be running 16AN for the radiator. I will be deleting the heater core as well so I had one of the ports for the thermostat welded shut and ordered a plug for the block to eliminate the need for those hoses. I had the intake manifold powder coated for ever ago but i did get the throttle body installed. It's a 65MM so I had the IM port matched to the TB. Installed the intermediate shaft too. It's a Yonaka 94-01 Integra IS. From what I researched, it's ok to use this with my cable transmission as long as you change the seal that the shaft inserts to with a hydro seal. I will upload some more pictures tomorrow.
@SPW I would definitely get away from body work for awhile after what you did haha. the pedals look great. The plugs/ block off plates sounds like a good idea, is that wrinkle black that was powder coated looks really good. The engine bay looks amazing
Are you going to stay with a Honda brake booster or go with a delete kit of some sort? I've got a Hush Performance delete kit but I'm kinda scared to put it on. :P
Yes I do haha. I usually get the body work done in spurts hopefully l get the motivation to do it soon lol. Pedals looks so good in person! Thank you it's coming along!
I decided to just stick with the booster I have read mixed things about deleting it. I will be tucking my brake lines a little!
Here are pics of the thermostat housing with one of the ports welded shut. The other one loops to the intake manifold. I also got around to installing rail, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge and injectors. Love the look of it. I will be changing the fuel outlet port of the FPR to 6AN than that will run back to the gas tank.
Thanks! Bought it off eBay. Got the idea from one of the members off here.
Freshened up the rear window molding and stripped/primed the glass channel for the rear windows. That molding really cleaned things up but taking it off and putting it on was a pain! I'm surprised I didnt make any dents in the molding itself. Time to take off the ugly tint. I did however lose the end cap for the other side of the rear window molding. Fortunately, truckslammer had a spare one thats on the way! Thanks again!
So true! When you have multiple guys on the same car it makes it so easy. I need that haha.
Same here. It sucks! May 2018 for me. But this year is the year.
Glass installed in passenger door and started on the front door. Going to give the glass guy a call this week to see when he can get the windshield installed. Hopefully their aftermarket window seals look decent.
If you guys have seen Bisi's wagon he has painted mirrors. I want to do the same thing but in Yellow. I also wanted to have my calipers done in yellow and the wilwood logo in black like this. Hate it? Love it?
