How is it looking?

Due to me being lazy I dont have any pictures from when I first bought the car, but I do have some pictures that were taken a few days ago. So what does everyone think?

While taking these pictures the weather went from snow to sun shine to snow then back to sun shine. Got to love Virginia, people say that is why it was named after a women.

Very nice! Love the stance and the comment about why virginia was named after a woman! Not trying to be sexist but that was funny to me.
  • Not a fan of the stretch, but I -really- like those wheels!

    Great shots!

I wasn't being sexist either, but it is true. And this day just happened to prove that.

I understand that the stretch and such isn't for everyone, but I like it. And the my friend that took the pictures did a phenomenal job.
  • Wheels look great on the wagon, and the stance is perfect... now find yourself some door moldings lol

Car looks great. I'm kinda digging the black on the fenders for some reason. Those look like 16" wheels.

I love the look of your wagon. Stance and wheels and all. Love it. Rim & Tire spec?
  • nwWagoRTnwWagoRT New Wagonist
The stance is perfect. I love how these cars can look so good even with some damage/missing trim. It just gives them character. I barely notice them as defects lol. These cars were meant to be driven, not be 'hard parkers.'
  • Nice and Flush. Works wheels?
  • Wow those are really good pictures. What suspension are you running?
  • I F$CKING LOVE YOUR WAGON! more pictures please =)
  • wheels, car and pictures look great. What are your plans?
  • dang man thats lookin real good! love the wheels! and i agree on the weather of VA lol its crazy...just got to work and it was clear outside..looked out the window a few mins ago and now the ground is white lol

I have the molding piece, just cant find any clips, guess I will have to order them from majestic. Also trying to find a new hood, which is proving to be quite a feet it self.

I actually bought the car with that done, I believe it is some kind of rust repair, but it is growing on me as well.

I work with a bunch of women, and they all reacted the exact same way when I first said it, then after about 5 mins of them letting it sink in they all agreed and laughed. That was also the day I thought HR was going to make me attend a sexual harassment class.

The wheels are actually XXR 521s, and the specs are 16x8 +20, with a 195/40/16 Yokohama S. Drive tires.

I love this car and drive the hell out of it. Had a lot of fun in the recent snow we had, and also am going to autocross it on a regular basis once this next season starts.

They are actually Function and Form Type 1s. A little to soft for my liking, but they are way better then the ebay coilovers and blown OEM struts that were on it when I bought it.

Thanks for the kind comments, and I will see what I can do about those pictures. I am redoing the cooling system on the car this weekend, along with a few other minor mods, and I will grab a few more picture for you then.

I am actually on the fence about the future right now. I have a turbo kit in my garage for it, but kind of want to stay competitive in my local autocross club, so I am not sure what the future holds for it. And then as another side project I have a MK2 MR2 that I am slowly putting back together. So who knows what the future holds for either of these projects.

Glad to see another Virginian can agree with me here. Where at in Virginia are you located?
  • I'd put the turbo kit on. I was able to be fairly competitive at the SCCA and NASA events I've been to with my turbo single cam del sol. The suspension would put you into street mod for SCCA and who knows what for NASA. But you'll be plenty quick to keep up, then once you have the driving down you'll prob be pretty hard to keep up with. Of course, this all depends on the events you attend, but that's been my experience in Central PA (SCCA) and Central VA (NASA). Autox for NASA in VA is like the ugly step child, they have some nice courses, but there is much more support for HPDE.

Im in Virginia Beach. I know in my local SCCA I was in Street Touring class (could have been placed in the wrong class, Im still having a hard time understanding the classing system), I also have a DOHC ZC swap in it, so that automatically bumped me up quite a few classes. Im thinking about putting on a smaller turbo to help me maintain boost, and give me that extra horsepower. But I want another car just incase I break or blow something up.

Im actually driving up to Petersburg to compete in the NASA autocross on the 23rd of january.

Looks great! - Now go get you a CF hood :)
  • I've got a hood for you for not too much money, and we could probably put it on Greyhound for not a lot of money again.

Im a fan of it too, but not sure which way I want to go with this car just yet, I am defiantly leaning more towards the function idea with this car. However if I do decide to switch to looks, I have some BBS RSs that will be going on.

Oh and I have to tell you man, you are to blame for me buying this wagon. I stared at your wagon and your buddies for a good 10 mins at the East Coast Honda meet, and from that moment on I was set on getting one. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh and on a side note, I have family that lives up in Momouth park, and Homedel area in Jersey. Next time I am up that way I could stop by and see your sweet wagon in person, again?

    love the wheels.
can't wait to see the fixes done.
i'm not sure about the black trim (on the fenders).
  • dang, wagon looks super sick. Those and bbs rims were my two top choices of rims to put on a wagon lol.
    Along with some diamond racing.
What kind of camera did you use for the shoot and what lense?

Huge fan of the lil stretch you got going on. :) car looks great the way its sittin. dam love red cars. do tell me what how your that low cause it looks lower then mine and i have 16x8 also and just ran into issues with major wheel hop even at low speeds so had to raise back up an inch
  • This machine looks the business. I am in fact a fan of the full fenders, the stretch and the overall stance. Stick a boat load of power in there, and it'll be masterful!

    Nice stance, nice wheels...
