My first EE Wagon!

New Wagonist
Hi, my name is Jim and I live in the PNW.
Specifically in Vancouver, WA, right north of Portland.
I have been researching these cars for a good while now and have been searching around on this site for about a month or so.
I just picked up a Cream and brown 1988 5 speed wagovan today and thought i would share some pics.
Spent 5 hours cleaning the outside tonight and plan on getting the old grandma smell out of the interior tomorrow, heh.
I will be the second registered owner of this car, I bought it from a 87 year old woman.... :shock:
without further ado, here are some pics of when I just got it home, and some progress.
Interior:
Before engine cleanup:
After Cleaning:
I hope to learn a lot from you guys, thanks for looking!

welcome!
Also painted the Honda emblems satin black, along with the rear window spoiler and exhaust manifold heat shield.
The back hatch carpet was so nasty and caked in dirt, so I took it out and ran it through the wash twice. Car smells so nice now.
Welcome.. Nice pick up.. My buddy josh got his the same way his needed a clutch but he got his for $300.. But let get that thing on the ground.. LOL..
yes I have an 88 as well. If you can find a DA with the rear suspension intact you can get the rear LCA's and the swaybar at the same time.
Looks good...
And primed and sprayed satin black spray paint to cover up the wavy dark gray ugliness;
And, because I needed that extra something;
Car looks tons better now, going to do the top half (window trim) next week to match.
****On a side note, I ordered h&r race springs, new strut mounts and kyb struts. oh, and BLOX rear lower control arms because it's a 1988, blah, coming in gold anodized.****
Parts should all be here next.....friday? I'm hoping (cross your fingers)
oh ok... i just thought they all do hahaha... and looking good too...
Then I masked off the top section of the car to paint all the black molding and trim, which took like 2 hours to mask off!
Will take pictures in the sunlight later, I finished around 9:30 pm....
Also, I went to the store and bought some slip resistant drawer liner in tan to put in my dash so my things don't slide around once I get my suspension.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Also installed new wiper blades and rain-x'ed all the windows and the inside of the windshield.
All in all a good night, took me about 4 hours to finish everything but it was worth it!
Day pics to follow.
