(EE/EY/EF) Exterior Cosmetics Information

The Honda Civic Wagon was released with a few variants of front bumper and light arrangement. Across all models the bonnet, fenders and rear bumper were the same.

Unfortunately the fenders, bonnet, rear bumper and front bumper are "wagon-only", so again us wagoneers are forced to go DIY. The fenders are taller than standard Civic Hatchback/CRX fenders and the bonnet is slightly different at the back near the hinges. The front bumper is different to its Civic H/B counterpart but the hatchback bumper can be modified to bolt up using the wagon bumper support.

You will find that all Civic wagon bumpers have the "cut-outs" for fog lights marked on the inside of the bumper. There are two different shapes for the cut-outs. Above Fog Light part number: Stanley 010-6681

    D.I.Y Cosmetics

    Due to the extremely limited aftermarket support for the Civic Wagon, enthusiasts are forced to D.I.Y. Here are some examples of potential modifications;

    custom.jpg
For the above Wagons, alot of D.I.Y has been employed - '94 Accord front lip, primer, paint, tinted headlights, JDM clear corner lights, bonnet lift etc.

Any info on 3rd gen wagons available?

    4th Gen mods:
CRX (CF or FG )Bonnet will work, but needs a wee bit trimming.
Accord front lip spoilers have been modded to fit.
I believe '84-87 CRX Si front lip spoiler can also be modded tofit.

thank you Siwagon for that info, others please add to this as well.
  • hatchback bumpers fit, you just need to find some way to retain or replace the "fill strip" atop the wagon bumper - the fenders don't come down as low. it probably wouldn't be too hard to add the extra metal from a couple sacrificial hatchback fenders.

Good stuff, keep it coming, do you guys have any other random ideas for the front?

for the 3rd gen wagon the 3g civic hatch si lip fits or the 1g integra lip fits. the wagons over in europe have clear corners. The 1g crx lip is about 2 inches to short.

  • the 99-00 civic lip could be forced to fit our wagons with the help of screws and zip ties but the end parts needs to be cut off

    here's a sample pix

That fits terrible! Is it warped? Or did it require another "force" fit

How can you call someone a hater if they prefer a well fitting stock bumper compared to an ill fitting after market bumper? I call it personal preference. Here's my car btw:

And as far as the wagon goes (as I promised another individual on the site) I will post pics just as soon as I'm back in town! It serves as a daily driver for me but I can't live without modifying it...

accord lip is on! easy. didnt have to cut (thankfully) in the middle or anything. cut off some of the tabs and trimmed some too, a few more drilled holes, and a blowtorch did the job. looks great too! pics in the Member's section
  • i like it! david's wagon rocks! 2 thumbs up from me..

I put the stock bumper off my 91 si with no real problem. You just have to use the wagon filler piece. It took a little tweaking to get that piece to fit, but once I got it attached it fits good. I used the wagon bumper support also, and removed the styrofoam as it did not fit very well. No 5mph crashes for me I guess....

    Question regarding the above subject.

Does it line up perfectly to the wagovan style front bumper?

    Thanks
