New Wagonist
Thought i would introduce myself.. Names Tony. Proud owner of a '90 crx si and '90 RT4WD Civic Wagon. Looks like a great site to be a part of!
Sooo the story goes like this:
Me and my wife went on a bike ride one Fall afternoon of 2009 around are area a couple months after we had got all moved back. As alway's, whenever im driving, walking, riding a bike, skateboarding.... I am on the look out for cars, cars, CARS! During our bike ride adventure, we circled a street which were i spotted a sad lookin little wagon sitting next to someones garage. I could tell the wagon had been sitting there for a while from tag's being expired, and overall condition of the weathering (leaves piled up on top and around the wag, low tires, etc.) I told my wife to hold on, as i lurked carefully around the wagon. I stayed a safe distance (on sidewalk) knowing some old lady could of ran out with a loaded shotgun and blasted my ass for gettin to close.. I built up some courage to go knock on the owners door to randomly ask if they'd be interested in selling the wagon. We had no luck. So when we got back home i started brainstorming for idea's, and thought of one brilliant plan! I will right them a letter and leave it at their door. That exact night i thought hard (which doesnt happen very often), and wrote the letter. I got horrible sleep just thinkin about if I'd hear back from them or not. The next day me and the wife drove back to their place and delivered the letter which i had left my contact info on. I had sandwiched the letter in between the screen door and hoped for the best. I turned around to walk back down the steps and heard a door slam. I looked back and seen the letter was gone!! I was only a little creeped thinkin the house had ate my letter.. jk
Couple weeks past, and i had lost hope that they were ever gonna contact me One day while at work, a random number called me, but i did not answer cause i was taught never to talk to strangers.... lol jk (I was super busy). They had left a voicemail so i took the time to run it through. The caller was the son of the wagon owners!! I was super stoked that i heard back from them! Gave him a holla back, and set up a time to meet up to finally get to check the wag out
The day had finallllly come for me to go check out the wagon. I met up with the son and his dad at their house, and we quickly started chattin about the ol' wag. It turned out they were the second owners of the wagon, and had no use for it anymore being they had upgraded to a newer cr-v. They had used it as a mail route carrier since they had owned it through the area of Oakley, and Paul, ID. They said the route they ran it through was a gravel freeway back in the day which makes clear for the high miles (250k).
Its first wash in over a year!!
Will TRY to keep the updates comin!!

lol, I guess they arent really "major" plans.. Here is somewhat of a list of a couple things i have in mind.
-Full coilover setup
-Decent sound system (since its my daily)
-Redo window tint (original stuff is gettin purple and bubbly)
-Restore wheels (blast and paint/powder coat back to white)
-Roof rack
etc.
I have a detailed list of mod's but it would prob take a day to put em' all down. lol
Looks like a good mod list...
lol, thanks man. The previous owners used it as a mail route carrier over some dirt filled roads.. so everthing got dirt dust everywhere!! Here are a couple pic's of my '89 crx dx which i just sold, and my recent (W.I.P) '90 crx si. I am taking the suspension setup I currently have on the si and putting it on the wagon. Gonna get a complete new setup for the si so i thought "what the hell"... I'll put it on the wagon!!
'89 DX
'90 SI
which one?? lol
the one with the jdm front; i almost called you... it was on craigslist for a great price no?
or maybe you bought it of CL?
also---- so i can has your wagon now???
I see.. Yeah. I bought it off the guy. Wasnt running to well when i first got it due to a lose dizzy rotor and some wickedly gapped spark plugs. Took care of that stuff, now runs like a top ANNNND... now its in pieces lol.
HAHAHA!! Im sorry dude, but no's you cant has my wagon now.
that hurts....
Im sorry brah. Its a keeper now! I was lookin for some serious offers/trades but none went through, prices were to low... my heart was broken Decided ima show this wagon some luv!!
you need to get busy and make a build thread so i can watch some progress...
Gonna get the wheels blasted and repainted (white w/ center H red) soon!!.. as well as new tires with a shorter sidewall.
Lookin into skunk2's rear camber kit.. Anyone else have any suggestion for a decent rear camber kit?? Gonna be needing this asap!
I took my wagon to my local alignment shop and they used what end up being body spacers and longer bolts in the rear, and have ebay kit on my front
yeah the little Washer trick usually works for the back... but up front will require a camber kit... or just burn
through tires like i did.... lols...
Thanks dude. Yeah... Its actually the original tint from honda!! HA but yes, it needs replaced.
It is an ef8 front bumper. Sorta looks like the ef9 front bumper but has an extra air vent on the front. They are gettin pretty tough to find now days.. at least for sale that is.
A coworker told me his guess to the problem was the toe is shot on the DS rear.. he worked at les schwab for numerous years so i always work off of his advice. All the other corners seem to be doin ok but obviously not perfect. lol
