How Many GSR Wagons?

Post up if you got one.

I am thinking of pulling out the turbo z6 and swaping in an extra gsr I have but wanted to see how many gsr wagons are out there. Probably end up adding a turbo to the gsr too as I have one laying around.

u gunna try to keep it 4wd/awd?
  • it will be staying 4wd. I have everything I need with the exception of the tranny (ofcourse the hardest most expensive part to find.) I am thinking of just droping in the gsr with a gsr tranny for the time being until i locate a reasonable priced tranny.

What tranny would you use with a 4wd b-series set up?

    CRV.. hard to find a 5spd 4wd :(

they are tuff to find its easier to find a k sereis 5 speed awd tranny than a bsereis. well if u need help just let me know its not superhard to get the crv tranny in there it will require some drilling, modding a motor mount, welding, and cable to hydro swap. i dont recomend it but for about $100 ill sell ya my hasport stuff its made for the crv tranny it works but the pedal presure is quite a bit and i just dont like it thats why im swapping it to full hydro.
  • "extra GSR"...must be nice! ;)
  • yea, u know when deals pop up I just buy. Got this one as a complete swap with 87k for only 1500. Just could not pass up.

My buddy Justin's wagon os on here (was b16 turbo, then H22). It was very fun both ways.
Yes the hardest part will be the trans and probably the drive shaft. His was just FWD so there was no need for any of that, but I believe you will need a custom made drive shaft.

Matter of fact, if I can remember right it has everything needed for the B-Series swap into an AWD. Rear Diff, 5spd tranny, all that jazz. I was thinking it would be too hard to make my wagon go from 2WD to AWD.
  • Id love to have a GSR powered wagon....Possibly one day soon

New guy question - what is GSR? The engine, right? Is it some other manufacturer?

The GSR motor is the B-series motor that comes out of the GSR Acura Integras. So no, not really a different manufacturer.

today i went to replace the outer rear cv joints in my wagon and shenrie had told me the axles were a hybrid of crv inners and wagon outers somehow he got crossed up or the shop that cut and shortend the axles didnt tell him what they did becasue they are 100% CRV axles cut down to work. im actually kinda glad now im gunna buy 2 new CRV axles ($60 each and WAYYY easier to find than wagon axles) and swap the good CV joints onto my custom center shafts.

and just to confirm wagon axles are bigger in every way except the slines in the hubs so next time u hear some ass clown talking about how CRV drivetrain is bigger and tuffer than rt4wd parts tell them they are full of shit.

x2. CRV axles look like toothpicks compared to the wagon axles.

Oh, and I meant to tell you last night, I have an idea before you do this to strenghten them up a tad. Hit me up when you get a chance.

  • Ok guys, I've tried to find it on here but haven't had much luck. I just picked up a FWD 5 speed, I know it has been done by a couple guys but what will it take to do an AWD B-Series swap? or can someone please direct me in the direction of a Thread that can help me out?

If u have the tranny your about half way there. im guessing when u say FWD you mean Four wheel drive right?

what car are u starting with is it already an RT4wd or a front wheel drive with a b sereis in it already.....

No, I'm starting out with a front wheel drive, 5 speed manuel, completely stock.

your gunna need the EF hydro b series mount kit with the hydro tranny bracket, rt4wd wagon shifter with cables, crv drive line, rt4wd trailing arms, crv rear diff, crv rear axles, and of course a b series motor.....

thats kinda a quick lil parts list your also gunna need to modify the tranny mount from hasport and the mount on the unibody, the axles will need cut down to work, and the driveline will need to be shorter as well.

theres more involved but thats a good start i didnt do the swap in my wagon but i have made a CRX 4wd with wagon parts its kinda the same process.... shenrie should be able to fill in the blanks on the swap info but go ahead and ask me anthing u want.
  • ok, so i need the crv or RTawd tranny? and as for the crv parts i need, is there a specific year that I should get or is it just whatever?
  • turbo_tegturbo_teg Council Member
thought u said u had a tranny? u need a CRV 5 speed AWD tranny. year doesnt matter 97-01 will work. too bad your not near me theres a wagon in the junkyard with the trailing arms, shifter, and the shift cables. I have a spare CRV driveline and some spare wagon trailing arms that im building a rear disc break set-up on as soon as the worthless guy who promised me free integra rotors and calipers gets out of jail..... hes seriously like 3 blocks from my apartment in jail as im typing this.
  • I have the stock tranny that came in my wagon its the the original 5 speed, so I'll have to find the CRV 5 speed. I'll have to take a look around at some local yards and see what I can find. How much would you be looking to get for the driveline and conversion set up, I'm located in western Idaho (Boise), so its not to far from ya. If I was to take a little trip to Seattle I could pick it up, and as well as those trailing arms.

Just go ahead, take your time, and think about it, I wont be doing anything major to it till summer seeing how the bike isn't ideal for winter. So you can think long and hard.
  • Hate to bump an old thread, but thanks to Gmo... you can add me to this list.
