NEWB from Ohio checking in!

Hey hows it going! My name is Skyler I'm from Columbus, Ohio. New to the whole EE/EF thing, my past cars have consisted of a 90 and 91 DA, 95 EJ1, and a 95 CB.

I'm still learning all I can on the D series motors, so use to the B series. I picked up my 91 EE2 mostly for more room and to save on gas. Not knowing that gas prices would fall from $3.99 to now $1.67 p/gal...lol.

Attached are a few quick pics taken with my cam phone, not the best I know, but still don't have a digi cam.

  • Thanks for all the comments!

I'll try and get some more and better pics up as soon as the weather permits.
  • Love the VC paint job.
  • I never really look into this section of the forum but....

I swear I saw your car on refugee road a while back. If it wasn't yours I'll understand but it was white and the bumpers painted the same as the body color.

It's nice to see some representation from the CMH baby...
  • Welcome to a great site. The wagon looks good. Do you just have the front part of the roof rack on?

Its possible, I live in Canal Winchester, so I'm always over in that area.

As far as the roof rack, the back one broke, I tried to fix it but no luck, so now there both off the car.
  • Small world, I live right down the street in madison township.

if you ever need any help with it let me know..

Were you the guy with the red DA that had a post on craigslist looking for a wagon?

Yep, the red DA was mine, sold it to get the wagon, now kinda wishing I didn't.

    Why the regret?

Ahh i just typed out a novel it seems but it didn't take it, so now i have to redo it. So this is the short version...LOL.

I think I wanted a wagon so bad that I didn't think this one threw. It has a Salvaged Title do to rear end damage. The new OEM rear bumper doesn't sit flush, and the hatch doesn't sit flush on the left side. If you pop the hatch and look inside you can see the extent of the damage. I'm trying to decide if i want to take to a body shop to see if its even possible to get the bumper and hatch straight again. If not I don't want to sink any money into it.
  • I have a lead on a "for sale or parts" wagon. I believe it's in the powel/delaware area. I haven't talked to the guy yet but just got his number and haven't tried calling him yet.

In a moment of weakness I responded to your ad on craigslist. The better half wanted a wagon of her own and we picked up a duratec taurus wagon. I was thinking, why two wagons? Maybe I should get a rex or teggy. Then my frontend started making a grinding noise and I thought it wouldn't be a fair deal unloading that problem on somebody else.

Anyway, why not have two wagons, there was time when I was unattached and single and had three streetbikes.

    This may look familiar.

  • Ahh yep I've seen that pic before....I HATE SNOW! LOL. The wagon you have a lead on, you looking at it for another car or parts?
  • I guess it really depends on the car itself, if it's rusted out or worth saving. I really don't know enough about the car yet.

  • That's a nice one there... Looks well loved or from out of state.

Odd... it's the same price as the quote I got for putting a new roof on my rental property.

Yeah its very clean w/low miles to be from Ohio, but you never know. Could of been a garage whore.

I picked it up in Knoxville,TN. The guy was getting rid of it to get out of Hondas and focus on BMW.
  • I took my truck to work last night because I haven't driven it for over a week, it was snowing and I thought when I leave work there would be at least a half dozen less windows to scrape the ice off of.. So on my way home about 1:30 in the morning I'm on I270 and this sharp white wagon passed me right at the 70 and 270 interchange. I was behind it for a while until my exit over by ricart.

    Was that you?

Yeah i was surprized when i went to look at it, how clean the interior was, defantly not perfect, few blemishes here and there. Havn't had a chance to do a full detail inside with the crappy weather here and no garage.

I work up at easton and usually work to 12-1 at night too. I'm right off of Winchester pike, it's faster for me to take Hamilton than Gender rd.

I'm sure somebody is snickering right now, yes there really is a gender road... and it's not full of crossdressers.
