    Stripped the paint from the side skirts, installed the rear mud flaps and raised the car up so it's not scraping.

    Washed her up and decided to snap a couple pics.

    Not sure how I feel about the ride height but I'm digging the flaps for now.

    Well a couple weeks ago something bad happened......

    Apparently the crank bolt backed out and the crank pulley wobbled enough to mar up the keyway.

    I had to temporarily fix it to get it home, the. I started doing my research.
    Not wanting to replace the crank (which in reality means a full rebuild or motor swap). I decided to try the Loctite 660 and red thread lock with a new oem key.

    No pics of the new fix, but the loctite 660 fills in the void that's in the keyway and the thread lock keeps the crank bolt from backing out (in theory). I let everything sit for well over 48 hours before I drove it.

    So far everything is holding together great and I've put a couple hundred miles on the fix.
  • Same thing happened to me, did the same fix also. Worked a treat and never had issues again :)
