Well, I went ahead and checked out my intake manifold for anything suspicious (because I have no idea what plugs you were talking about) and I noticed two little cylinders that come off the manifold were there. I felt like they used to have little rubber caps on them like other ones in my engine do so I went ahead and capped em with some stuff laying around the house.
Now it starts up, and I can keep it at a steady idle around 700rpm... but thats with the gas pedal pushed all the way down.
The motor has a Carburetor not fuel injection, there is no ECU, no sensors.
By plugs I meant ports on your intake manifold (search again for more of them) that may be exposed and need to be capped..
Those 2 (cream colored?) cylindrical check valves need no attention. They only flow air one way..
I would also replace your spark plugs, those look haggard.
No one's helping me so far, but I'm still gonna keep updating. I have to have atleast one follower out there! :concern:
Could be that nobody is helping you because most of the people on here have 88+ wagons and don't understand the woes of a 84-87. try redpepperracing.com if you need some help. Not that the people on here can't help, but the site is specific to the older carb'd honda's, so problems can be taken care of quicker vs just guessed at.
Well, its been an adventure. Thanks to a local shop 360 Imports (strongly recommend them if your in Vancouver) finally got her to purr again, and she has much more power.
Vacuum leaks, bad timing on the distributor, and sneaky coolant leaks. The previous owner didn't block off a tube that connects to the old carb, so it was leaking some into my weber. Everything was timed perfect up unto the distributor which was running all retarded and not advancing as it should so it could drive, but would bog out around 2300 rpm. So went to the local Pick n' Pull and luckily found one with a beautiful dizzy not even touched. So grab that out, threw it in. Runs amazing now. Still need to get the timing checked out with one of those fancy red dot tools, then its on to some more engine upgrades.
I was surprised at how aggressive she is now, she actually has some acceleration! Oh happy day :very_drunk:
She's finally running strong, timing was spot on. No leaks, no mysteries, and has some mean power to her. Hopefully now I can get to the suspension without anymore mishaps.
Currently I am trying to save up for some suspension so I can get her grounded. But it doesn't hurt to get some knick knacks along the way, couldn't help but pick this up and redo my rear window.

Most likely going to have to get some shocks as well as springs because it seems as if my right side is saggin a bit, then need to roll the fenders. Also still trying to dial out a blueprint for a cargo cover, don't really want to drill into the plastic for mounts but may have to at this point.

Alright it's time I get some help with this research. I want a rack for my wago so I can throw my bike uptop, but most don't fit because of the 3rd gen full frame doors. Anybody know about a roof rack that will mount without complicating with the doors?

My wagon is all about going slow and enjoying the drive. More surprises await! Stay tuned.
