Holy hell! What a plot twist with the first wagon gone then getting another one :O everything is looking good though! Stick with it! I gotta get my ass into gear and finish mine as well..I just bought a part wagon last night for the same reason you did.

Yea man I'm glad I went this route. There was a lot of little things that really bugged me about the other one. Loved it but this ones the cleaner car by far. Thanks man! Ima try. I'll race you see who gets it done first haha. Glad you updated your thread. Really enjoyed that build. You say to yourself I'll remember where everything goes.. Doesn't happen haha. Not for me at least.

Transmission has been sand blasted, primed and painted. Waiting for bolts and what not to get it back together. Totally new to transmission building so taking my time make sure everything goes in just right.

Love all the progress! I hope to be able to see this wagon in person one day!
  • I was wondering what to use for my block and trans when I redo them for my build but you've provided an answer! Do you just brush it on, or did you use a gun to apply it?

This build looks amazing. I can't wait to see the car when it's all back together.

Thank you! For the longest time I've been wanting to go to one of those huge wagon meets up closer to your area but never had a wagon finished haha. I'm shooting to have this guy up and running next year.

Thank you me either! Been in pieces to long. I love this color. I was planning on going with the aluminum color look but it looks too fake for me. But this looks awesome. This was actually sprayed on. I put one coat of the primer and 2 coats of the color. My primary primer gun isn't working right now I used another gun but the gun was having trouble shooting the primer out. It's on the thick side and instructions say not to reduce it. I recommend using it with a bigger tip HVLP gun like a 1.8 or larger. The 1.3 was really struggling. But for color it did great. Attached is a link from where I purchased it. They also have an aerosol version. The website has a printable data sheet as well. Hope this helps.

  • Awesome. Thanks for the detailed reply. It doesn't look like they have a primer in the spray paint so I'll find someone local to shoot it.

No problem. It will look great!

Didn't really think I was going to pull two motors this long weekend but I did haha. Someone will be taking them off my hands today.

I’m so looking forward too driving the wagon. Really would like to meet some other wagoners up the east coast. I said the same thing to myself haha. Needed a new ACL and some meniscus repair. Being 23 and having a cane with me is so much fun lol. Thanks for the kind words!

Slow recovery but able to walk a bit more these days. Not much going on much wagon wise but the transmission was dropped off to be rebuilt. Should be finished within the next 2 weeks. I would like to have the rear subframe from the parts wagon dropped and powdercoated. I will be deleting power steering. If I am not mistaken, I think there is a difference between P/S and non P/S subframe. Whatever the case may be, I will be using the non P/S subframe. I did a parts inventory today. Shopping that has been done over the last 8 months. Forgot how much stuff there was.

Oh my, such sexy posts! I myself am thinking of buying the drop forks from the same company. Did you try and fit them by chance? Also, I myself am going to rebuild the transmission with custom 5th gear. Let us know how both of these things work out!

It will look sexier put together! Very nice. The quality is awesome. I have not been able to try them just yet but anything in specific your looking for? Thats great. I will keep an eye out on your thread see how it comes along. Swapped 5th for cruising purposes it will still be a little high 4000 RPM at 80 MPH but not too bad. Will update soon. Just need to test fit the motor make sure the alternator clears before paint.

Purchased a parallel flow condenser and TRS090 compressor from an EG. Plan is to make combine the EF suction and discharge lines with the EG so that it will still work with the rest of my A/C lines and with the compressor itself. Little more info about it here.https://www.crxcommunity.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=166226

Compressor mounted to Innovative B series A/C bracket. Although the bracket clears/it is very annoying to get the compressor belt on so I will be cutting off the torque mount on the bracket.

I love it too. From what I've been reading, our original compressors don't do good with the new refrigerant. Thanks to the guy that came up with the idea to use the EG compressor!

Took apart the dashboard. Thinking of sound proofing the wagon and wanted to replace all of the old foam that seals those A/C components. Also, I Can't think of a reason if it would be a bad idea but I think it might be more functional and cleaner to use the complete wiring harness from my Manual civic wagon donor. It has auto seat belts too so that won't be an issue. What do you guys think? It will be a little bit of work but sounds like it would be worth it.

Needed to get the wagon rolling for the next phase. Need to repair some surface rust beneath the brake booster. Looks like it was leaking but never fixed and ended up rusting and damaging the seam sealer.

The wagon on wheels! Ended up using one of my spare cross members to fit the 8" Swivel Casters. Little bit of cut off wheel action was used to cut the cross member up so the caster could sit flat. Had to ream the bolt holes on the caster itself in order for the bolt to go throw.

  • Great idea for the casters to get that chassis moving around! Did you put a overdrive pulley on your alternator? You might want to consider that if you haven't. It will boost your idle voltage and charge.
  • Where'd you find that parallel flow condenser?!?!?! I have been looking for a long time for one
