I also would like to change the title of my thread cause I guess its turned into more of a build thread, (random atm) but I would like to start documenting progress without starting a whole other thread. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Didn't get the alarm done today. Soldering iron was mia. But, I did get my new setup in and mounted. Weird having bass again.

Awesome so you got the amp installed already!

good deal. love the wood grain...
  • Yessir! Pushes one JL 10" plenty for me! Haha the wood grain was there for almost a year, stuff really holds up. Its a pain in the ass to do though, and not get bubbles that is.
  • Went out to a Portland meet tonight. Got to talk with Ryan from Vip and some other cool cats. Couple poorly taken shots of the wagons.

Thanks man! Yeah its a labor of love. I guess this is more of a blog as it isn't as documented as I'd like. Hopefully I can turn it around. THanks for the comments!

    this last pics is crazy!
  • Well I finally got motivated and pulled a good TPS off an extra trottlebody I had. Dremel, hack saw and 45 min later and I have the new tps on my throttle body. Old one had a rattle if you will, basically had a glitch in the pointer. Got it on, fixed its ground along with the IAT sensor and got it calibrated almost perfect.

Getting .48v at closed throttle like I should but 4.72 at WOT. Need to set WOT first to 4.5v then adjust throttle stop so it reads .48v closed and adjust idle. I highly recommend anyone to adjust their TPS. Makes a big improvement for an older car. My car can actually catch itself on the way back down to idle now. Used to have trouble with the bad TPS and a lightweight flywheel.
  • Tps is now correctly adjusted, but the car is acting weird still. Have bled coolant twice. Anything over 2k rpm when you completely let off the gas in neutral it will quickly dip to about 700rpm, come back up to 1200, then settle down to 800rpm idle.

Really weird. Im thinking vacuum leak? Only thing I did was remove throttle body to do tps.

On a side note, got my wheel spacers on so my calipers dont eat my wheels and got a new sticker! Errybody loves stickers!

Your lightweight flywheel could be causing that. Basically, it drops rpm so fast, the engine management gets a little confused.

Never thought about that! I'm going to look into it and see if anyone else has had this problem. Also going to try my old tps again and make sure its adjusted correctly. Car felt alot better with old TPS/
  • Put my old Tps back on, calibrated it and the car runs smoother. I think the "new" one had a glitch in it for lack of a better term.
I want some dang offset. Test fitting one of my buddies random wheels, and not the best pictures sorry.

  • Nothing much changed! Pic from last weeks meet. Going to try to install my Viper alarm today and possibly do some body work (old school style, body hammers yo!). A friend of my dad's works at an industrial paint shop and has offered to sandblast and primer my car for free. Going to jump on that shit. Pics of alarm install tonight!

Got pretty bored the other day, haha.

Diggin' the wagon, man! I like what you've done to it. I have the same motor in my CRX, they're a nice and peppy little engine. I like you're exhaust too. I've always like a mild bozo exhaust look. Got any pics of the muffler from the underside? I'm curious how you went about doing that. The pipes look fat as hell! Props on the wagon, can't wait to see more. :)

Thanks mang! D15b's are fun lil motors indeed. Good top end and low miles ftw. Yeah I could get a couple underside pics for you showing the exhaust. Its 2 1/4 from header back into an audi muffler that fits perfect tucked up into the hump, then just back to the tips. Lol, most people hate my lil stingers, my car I like it, but Im glad you can appreciate something other than a can too, haha.
  • Don't think I posted this up, best pic of the exhaust in the rear until I go take pics, 483072_423064207759714_1992588928_n.jpg

    awesome progress!

love the bay color and i dont know it it was mentioned but drill a 1/4 hole in the lowest point of your exhaust tips so that water can drain out.

Thanks RoRo! Probably is a good idea. It usually spits a lil' water out if it rained, haha.
  • Went on a couple snow runs up Spirit Lake Hwy again yesterday. The first one was fine, not too much snow on the road, very icy though. Only had my street tires on and made it 36 miles up, about 2500 feet elevation. Second run last night got a bit crazy! Had two snow tires up front with studs and made it to about mile marker 42 while plowing through a foot. Couldn't make it further and had my buddy tow me in reverse for a mile! Lol. Ended up having a solid sheet of snow under my car and it basically tuned into a sled getting pulled up a hill. Wish I had more pictures of that but my wheels weren't even really touching the ground by the time I was done being pulled!

    Few pics of the adventure!
