88 RT build! WA Super Swap!!!!

So here we go again! So I sold my 1990 wagon because it was just too beat. And didn't have the money to fix-er up! So after a about two weeks I was having Car-less withdrawls. ahhhhh What do I do? Instead of spending too much on another beat car that the kid wouldn't budge on. So driving back home from looking at that car. I was scanning C-list and found this guy for a good price.

Expecting to go and look at another beat up wagon. I was surprised to find that this car is in really good shape. Minus some rust and a few little things here and there.

But now I has a RT woohoo!!!.

On to the pics! Going to be some good updates coming very soon!

Here is what it looked like when I bought it.

    Glad you got it :)

A buddy of mine was trying. It's always funny to see who ends up with what around here.

I always hated gold until I owned one. Now I want another... bad!

HAHA thanks dude. Yea I told myself I would never buy another wagon unless it was a blue one. But now that I have this one I love it! The brown interior is awesome and so clean. Even still has the oem floor mats in good shape! I'm very pleased with this purchased.

Ok so yesterday was my work on wagon day. I started by trying to figure out why my brakes were really low and the e-brake handle wouldn't stay down. Turns out there were new shoes on the back and were never adjusted! Woot easy fix.

So then onto removing the ugly little fog lights and changing front lips.

Before with fog lights and terrible hacked up lip!

And after. Didn't take a close-up But you can still see.

So then I made an attempt at changing my driver side cv axle... That was a fail cause I couldn't break the damn nut loose. So I gave up and test fitted one the new wheels! Oh well I soaked in PB blaster and gonna try again today!

Here is my fancy engine. With it's purple valve cover and GOLD intake! haha

So while I was at Cabella's the other day I noticed this basket on the wall. So i decided to pick it up good price and seems to be good quality. Plus the snowboard attachments were pretty worn out!

Pulled all the accessory's off when I got it home to get ready to install when I get back from my Florida trip.
    182.jpg

Installed my Ry-Wire engine harness I had left over from my CRX from back in 2008 when it had a GSR. OBD1 plug and play only thing I had to do was unloom the V-Tec wires and move behind the dizzy and extend the O2 sensor wire.
    183.jpg

Well looks like I will be drilling and taping for the half-shaft to go on this motor! :( oh well all part of playing with "legos".
    184.jpg

I'll be heading to Florida next Monday for two weeks so I will be installing this little guy when I get back. I still have to find a new RT oil pan and a p28 ecu. other wise I would be putting in before I leave.

    Thanks for looking!

Are they that uncommon? I figured all of the civics came with them. If they are, I'll add another uncommon thing to my checklist of options that came on mine lol

Ya I'd say uncommon. When u say all of the civics are you talking about wagons and if it not then ill tell u floor mats are wagon specific.

Yeah, I meant all ef civics. I could've sworn that when I went to look at a sedan before I got my wagon it had the mats in it also, but I don't remember exactly. I'll get pics up of mine on my build thread when I get a chance, I've got a tear in mine right below the clutch/brake pedal
  • slo88crxslo88crx Senior Wagonist
Yea the floor mats are pretty hard to come by. Most are worn out and throw away. Or just were not bought new. Shit I have been on a hunt for a clean black set for my Crx since I switched to the black interior.

very nice like the potential! Sure seems like a lot of wagon owners around seattle. Maybe a few of us from over the border should head down that way sometime and have a meet! Also looks like seattly is the best area to find a wagon.

My carbed wagon is good for intown but wouldnt wanna make long drives with it, hoping to upgrade soon and do some minore mods!!

This site is awesome, so glad I found it
