clean it first and get it decent enough to be taken anywhere. i just ordered some ground controls so definitely slammed. other than that just keep it simple and clean

    Don't psych yourself out.

Only the cool kids roll with RT's ;)
  • i got nervous reading a thread about the rear end and this guy payin over 1k for it. thats what i paid for the whole thing

Well, what was done? If you do the work yourself, and you're a competent mechanic, you'll be ok. You also gotta be willing to search for parts though. So always keep your eye on the market.

i think it was somethin about the propeller shaft? i definitely do the work myself..whats the fun in letting other people do it and hain to pay a ton of money.

  • great find man! reminds me of how i found mine lol beat to crap, and my craigs list pic's didn't look bad either, almost didn't buy it when i saw that the roof was walked on! but driving 400mi just to get it..... well... it was mine dammit!

anyway its coming along great! and you can still go off road if your lowered, i had mine thru all kinds of stuff already! its just so fun and un-natural to drift in a civic 8)

oh yea, i just got a price for a custom drive shaft (aluminium) for $300. you just have to shop around.

Not bad. Amazing how much better it looked after a simple cleaning.
  • well went to the junkyard the other day got everything to fix my door and window. i ended up finding a volvo lip and some lexus fogs. fixing to rebuild the tired ass a6 till i can save up for the zc
  • if you get over it i'll by your drivetrain... i'm sitting on a broken red one as we speak. I also have a red ef hatch..lol, weird!
  • nah man im good with the awd now lol
well today i decided to take apart my engine and put in rings and rod bearings and all new gaskets but when i started to clean i noticed something a little weird about my block can anyone tell?
    562.jpg
well that screws me over casue my rebuild kit is for an a6 bottom end. that got me thinkin what head do i have so i got the numbers off and all i could come up with its either an a6 or zc head..does anyone know?
    563.jpg
    564.jpg
well thats all till i can get my new parts. i plan on putting my coilovers on later today if its not a million degrees out.

that sucks man you got screwed.i have a cream wagon and a cream hatch.coincidence with the ef owners i guess.
  • eh its ok im just rebuilding this one so i can have a daily to sell my hatch. does anyone know if the d15b bottom end is just like every other d15?
  • prboy1969prboy1969 Wagonist
Nice wagon . Sucks about your engine :( . Might just want to pick up a used D16a6 and go from there . Especially if you don't know what's in there and it needs a rebuild anyway .

i iwsh i could find a used a6 around here but just b2s and crap. im seriouslt thinkin about pullin my y7 from my hatch. i got everything together and threw the new engine in but it fires up for a second then cuts right off. im thinkin main relay maybe?? and i also shouldve read about the aftermarket header not fittin  wasted money. im gonna work on it more before i go in to work tomorrow so hopefully somethin good happens
  • well i figured i would update(as if anyone cares)
i pulled the b7 and tore apart my d15b. im waitin on the rebuild kit for that.
so i decided to put my coilovers on..the front was a piece of cake but the back was and still is a bitch.
every bolt is frozen not even an impact wrench will get it off and what did come loose just ripped the bushings to hell in the lca..sooo now i gotta buy lcas and find a way to cut those off and get new bolts...
i hope this wagon is worth it
  • sorry things are so tough with the wagon right now.
i remember fighting rear strut bolts.
everyone says to hit em with pb blaster way way ahead of time.
maybe that'll help you out if you ever encounter it again, what a headache eh?

    just a word of encouragement.
stick in there and hold your ground with the car.
i have felt the same way on a number of occations and in truth i regreted almost every car i gave up on.
wish you the best and hope your hard work pays off.
