Looks good man! i cant wait to start working on mine, and to think im literally just on the other side of the Quabbin from you. maybe ill see you around.
  • Really, where abouts? Maybe when I get her on the road we can have our own little mini meet. I will definately keep a good status of this running, unfortunately my goals are more ambitious than my budget can support, but I should be making enough after high school to get this off the ground, that is after I get out of basic and all. Anyway, thanks for the comments, I love all you guy's wagons, and hope to get mine on par with some that are on this site. Oh yeah anybody notice the OEM roofrack!

Don't feel bad all our goals for our cars are bigger than our budget allows. Mine is taking longer than I want also for this exact reason.

It is all worth it in the end though
  • definately for sure on that, got a lot of plans for it that should go into action pretty soon. Right now just waiting on a little more funds to get her going, then it's WAGON PARTY TIME!
  • This is what it will look like :) problay a lil' lower too.

yea like i said, literaly on the other side of the Quabbin.
  • So the winter has ended, and my wagon progress is starting. A the end of last summer a freind and I towed my wagon out to my house finally and I cleaned it up quite a bit. Cleaned out the interior and washed down the outside. Over the winter though it sat, and the battery died, so I am waiting for a battery so it will run again. That should be coming in sometime next week. I recently took off the front fender and hammered out the dent, it looks a lot better but still needs some work. Also, got the front bumper back on properly so it all fits up nicely. My grinding noise that I had described way back in last summer turned out to be a gaurd for the driveshaft that was bent and rubbing. I re bent that so it now is not a problem. Also I have started work on repainting the vc and a little bit of tidying up the engine bay. Pics up probably tomorrow.
  • bump for new pics first post.

When you get new rims I want your old ones. I have cash so just tell me when :D
  • I only have three 4WD rims, and two of them have slow leaks. Soooooo, Idk if you really want them. However, if you want the two better ones, one can be rebeaded the other needs paint, let me know.
  • PAINTED THE VC!!!

So it is my 18th B-day, I know right, not really an adult but I can tell people I am now. : P So I decided to pick up some high heat paint and I made over the Valve cover.

Got a lil dirty during the install but I was eager to get pics. Now to make the rest of the bay look good.
  • Got an update, I installed some fogs, and am also working on a new center console, scored from the junk yard. I also scored a couple goodies but I need to go back out and find some more things.
My younger brother ran the wiring and got it put in right for me, seeing as how he is going to school for it, and also been working with my uncle who is an electrician, makes sense that he knew what he was doing. I also have some pictures of the stereo that is about to go in as soon as I have enough money for an amp and a new deck. Wagon is going in for body work and paint this summer while I am at Basic Training.
    Console!

Two center caps off the only wagon there, it was a 4WD I need to go back with a lug wrench and get the other two.

The wiring ready to be run to the switch. You can also see one of my custom made Aluminum pedal covers, the brake one broke because the tabs on it were too short. Still need to remake that one.
    img0337ijf.jpg
  • Here's a few pictures of my grafting process of the center console. Since the original bottom "pan" of this console was missing, I'll be making my own out of aluminum to accomodate the cig lighter, ash tray and some CUP HOLDERS! I plan on having it come down from the top to wrap around the shifter cut out. just to have it look nice and clean.

The future system, one of the speaker in wired into the amp from a TV subwoofer just to test them. I'll be making custom boxes in the future.

  • Sorry about no update, the last two were my younger brother while I was at basic training. I'm currently at Fort Eustis for Apache helicopter repair training. This Christmas when I go home, I'll be getting the car registered finally, and maybe get some body work done. Most of my bonus is going to go into repairing this beast. It will be getting painted a dark olive green soon, just like the Apache haha.

  • So, I recently went on leave to visit home before deploying to Afghanistan for a year. Got the wagon on the road so that my younger bro can drive it over the winter. Here's some updated pics.
I got a couple things done, the first being getting it running again. Finally got it registered and insured. 4 New tires, painted the trim and the wheels, stripped the interior to start cleaning it. I have a pass. block off plate on the way, and we are starting to work out the wiring issues. Apparently at one point in time there was some damage from mice that got fixed the WRONG way. It is starting to get on the right track again, cannot wait till I get back from this deployment and the real work starts. Next big plan is to fix all the rust and paint it.

  • great work my friend, looking good.
wish you the best overseas, come home safe.
thank you for your willingness to sacrifice.
  • Okay so here is the deal. My brother is overseas and was letting me drive his car. (Younger Brother) Now he had taken off the plastic piece that covers the cam gear. A rock Jumped up and got down in between thew timing belt and the crank gear. This broke the wheel that puts tension on the belt, it also broke some teeth on the crank gear. Now I have no idea if the belt has jumped or if any of the valves got messed up.

    The car is for sale.
