Been driving my wagon daily for a few days now. Working on getting little bugs worked out.
As far as the swap... makes it fun as hell to drive. By no means a racecar but she's peppy as hell. Together with the bigger brakes it's like driving a go kart around on the road. Seems to get better gas mileage too!
I need to get the ac charged up and working again. Get the front bumper back on. Wanna redo the valve cover. Clay the whole car, polish it. Wanna polish the shit outta the wheels. Need to loom up some of the wires in the engine compartment. Switch out the carpet. My front window regulators suck!!! Have a set of power windows for the fronts that I wanna try to get in as soon as possible.
I'll have to get some pics up when i get it a little more together.
Those rims look really good blacked out. I had a set on my H22 CRX. Just a thought.
Your car looks really nice though. Love the drop and the wire tuck. I'm envious.
Looks good man. What kind of mileage are you getting now?
Haven't done any calculations, but compared to the 96 gti 2.0 i was driving; it get's way better gas mileage!!! So for now I'm just gonna say "really good". I drove all over hell and back today and used barley any gas.
Oh yeah since the tuck pic I decided to yank the power steering? I thought I would miss it and struggled with trying to resist pulling it.
I actually love the feel of the steering without it! It finished off the go kart feel !
Lets see some more of your backyard track and ramps,
BMX 4 Life
I'll have to dig some out. I'm lucky to have a wife that not only puts up with this shit.... but actually comes out and raises hell with us. She rides pitbikes, races bmx. She was one of the first people to hit the pitbike freestyle ramp.
Got my bike rack finished today. Had the yakima rack but fabed up actual bike attachment part. Since I did the control tower/ landing pad rack setup on the ford aerostar rails (Thanks for the tip bam bam!) i was able to sandwich the rack between the rails.
Yeah... I know. I need to get my bumper back on. I need to finish messing with the a/c and confirming that I've sealed the slow leak. I need to polish the wheels. I need to, I need to, i need to.
Jesus the list of shit I wanna do just keeps getting longer!
I really like those wheels polished like that. Sweet roof rack too
Some days I kinda like em. Other days I hate em! I'd probably feel better about them if I really polished them. I gave them a quick bump with some steel wool and mothers one day, if i put some time into them they might look kinda slick.
Funny that you own a beagle(first dog in first image) the honda civic beagle (jdm wagon)
oh yeah, we took the damn bassett hound (tator tot) for a ride in my wifes truck today. the dummy fell out the window (only about 5mph luckly). Scratched up his back legs and balls pretty bad. He's fine though. He's a lot tougher than i thought!
nice job on the roof rack, it looks good and seems to function equally well
thank you man! It works well, and It was pretty cheap to put together. I've thought about making a basket style attachment that would clamp to the existing rack just using the fork clamps I've got on there.
Got some tires on the wide5's. I'm happy with the look of my wagon now!
One of these days I need to wash the wagon, and take some decent pictures with something other than my cellphone. Defenantly looks better than in the pictures. Need to put my front mudflaps on too!

I stripped them and gave them a quick polish. Can't tell in the pictures though... huh, don't know why. I wasn't sure how I felt about them for sure untill i got them on. Love them though.
I'm a big fan of oem wheels. Just think they're simple and classy!
I'm working on a valve cover that I think will look super clean with my mild tuck. Hope to have it done it the next day or two. I'll post up pics when i get it done. I picked up a nicer camera this afternoon. I'll try to get some nicer shots.
looks good man. i'm not a huge fan of OEM wheels, but of all the OEM wheels those probably look the best on the wagon...I like the painted front/rear bumpers too! Nice and clean build dude!
Oh who am i kidding.... a photoshoot??? I drive the hell out of this thing. park it in the weeds. Don't wash it but ever other month or so.
Just noticed that my front lip is a little wonkey. Guess i drag it in the dirt when i pull up to the mailbox and it tweeks it some.
At least I picked up a nicer camera so I can take a halfway decent pic every now and then.
damn i really like the paint matched VC..i want your bumpers haha...mine are all black..thinking about getting them paint matched when i get the car resprayed..i love blue wagos i was excited as hell when i found mine! and i also have fat 5's on mine but i painted them white since the previous owner had them gold..thinking of polishing them. great build man cant wait to see what else your going to do to it.

I had em blacked out for a while. I liked it, then decided I wanted a change.

One on mine too!

Just a few 12 foot 2x4's. The yakima rack isn't just a fashion accessory! I've been using that thing to haul all kinds of crap around town.

Screwed up a little. Will probably re-do it later on down the line.
I cleaned up, rewelded, etc. a heat guard and painted it a clean satin black. Just waiting to put it on till I get the new ac compressor put in.
