My 1992 Civic CX w/B18C5

Yeah I know this is The Civic WAGON forum but I just realized I never posted a dedicated pic topic for my 92 CX. Some of these pics are recycled/whored from H-T and the link in my sig (well all of them really) but I picked out a few new ones taken recently as well as some old faves.

I bought it as a rolling/non running hatch back in 2001 with a OBD0 hackjob B16A swap so I immediately stripped it down:

Got it painted:

Got it reassembled with all new trims, GS-R brakes, B18C5 swap, Spoon SW388 wheels, blah blabber blah:

Here are the new/not seen pics from 2010:

Old-ass VIS c/f hood still looks retarded glossy:

Engine bay detail - this is not your current tucked, shaved, etc. bay. This is circa 2002 baby:

Basic interior. Yes I need to repaint my ECU cover lol.

911.jpg

No headliner. Yes I need a dome light cover lol.

Uberdata-driven two-step toggle switch:

Aluminum a/c bracket and often maligned CTR N1 crank pulley:

Chillin' in the garage next to its older, more civilized brother:

...and finally my "two car" garage makes room for three when I park my 92 like this:

:)

Tanabe Super Medallion Racing Spec exhaust (the full stainless one)
Skunk2 camgears
Integra GS-R double-wide O.E radiator

Transmission:

1992-1995 Civic Si/EX cluster with 9000rpm tach
1998 Integra Type R steeing column with tilt and leather-wrapped steering wheel
O.E Honda radio block-off plate
A/C block off button
No carpet, rear seats, headliner, door panels, interior plastics, etc.

I think I'll be buried in this car. I plan on teaching my son (currently 20 months old lol) how to really drive with this car. Auto-Xing in the dinosaur class when he turns 15, etc. I've been offered some pretty ridiculous prices to sell it, but I've never been tempted. Closest it ever came to leaving me was when our house deal almost fell through because the bank was being assheads.

I know its not the en-vogue tucked, shaved, slammed, 0 offset 8 and 10'' wide wheels with 185-width tires, and yes it still has the Tanabe fartpipe on it, but I still love this car. I still think it has stood the test of time well so far. Only change I could see me doing (probably ever) is swapping the muffler out for something a touch more understated (flat black oval canister comes to mind) but the raw sound of VTEC screaming through the Tanabe for some reason still appeals to my old ass.

:)

Thanks for looking 'n' shit.

Clean Hatch... I miss having my 94 accord. You did a great job with your car, and I like how you didnt add anything back in the inside except the dash and some odd and ends.
