New Civic Wagon Owner, Mine is Bone Stock! Rusted Though

Hello everyone. I am new in the Civic wagon world and I felt very lonely until I found this forum. I got it like 4 days ago. You guys have very nice wagons!! Mine is an automatic, gray (I had to get it automatic so my wife could drive it too) little rusted and very stock. The engine is leaking a little oil from the timing belt side the engine bracket is. Tranny is great so far and so on... I am really a stock looking person so I would like to keep it stock looking as possible... Please let give me a piece of advice on how to begin or what to do...

Well the real question is what do you want, speed, handling, clean stock wagon? Might want to lower it, it helps so much getting it a little lower!

Yes, okay. I really like the stock look. However, what rims do you think that would fit nicely on the 89 Civic wagon? I do not want to go bigger than 15" wheels...

sounds like a nice set of stock civic Si wheels or maybe some new integra wheels like fat fives, blades, maybe meshies ect ect. dont go with a small tire unless yer gunna lower it. looks funny when u see a civic with some 195/50/15's on stock springs IMO.

Really? I have stock 13" wheels with the "H" center caps on the car now... I do not know, I have had SI wheels on 3 Civics already: 98 Civic 4Dr, 93 Civic 4Dr, and a 96 Civic 2Dr... I just want something new... I do not even want to go 15"...

Yeah, thank you... Well there is some rust on the quater panels and I need to fix that before cleaning it up... also, I have not decided on the wheels that I will be putting on.. I am thinking factory Hondas.. like the 15" GSR five fat or the 14" 88-91 Prelude SI swirlies... What do you think guys????

I don't want to jack your thread by sticking my car in it, but check out my build thread. Mine is raised on fatfives and 205/60/15 tires

The roof rails are from a Kia Sportage, the rest is Yakima. It works well, but my wife's is better. On hers I used Ford Aerostar rails.

Okay, I see. I do not even know where did mine come from... Mine came with the wagon when I recently bought it last week.... Did you use the whole roof rack from the Kia Sportage or just the front part... Yours looks beautiful ...
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
Only the rails bolted to the roof. Everything else is from Yakima.
