So my Wagon is officially on the road and running now. I did a mini overhaul this weekend to get her going and it payed of, I am so excited to finally be on the road with my wagon! I ended up replacing my water pump, ac belt, alternator belt, radiator, cv axles, changed the oil, installed new speakers, and put on my mirror block off plate. Only thing I have left to do one my wagon as of right now for dd mode is to change my hood release cable and to paint the rims. While I am dding my brown one I am gonna be getting my RT in tip top shape, then they will play role reversal and I will DD the RT and hopefully start making some decent progress on my "race car".
Thought I might want to get into snow removal next winter.....
I am seriously considering on running with this idea for my RT during the winter, even if it won't be functional I still want to do it.
Its been a little while since I have updated my thread, mainly because I had nothing new to post up.
Finally got some new shoes for my wagon!
Before.....
After......
And my wagon meeting my friends new 77' CVCC (Same kid with the big ass suburban I posted in here )
Gained a little bit more height with the LS Meshes than my 13" steelies but I should be taking care of that problem tomorrow. Got me some Koni Yellow's and Ground Controls to get me where I want to be.
Also going to OhioHondas meet this sunday, any of you Ohio guys gonna be there?
The Ohiohondas meet was a blast. The wagon got a solid 38 mpg the whole trip with an average speed of around 80. I was pretty happy with that. Got a nice rolling shot out of the cruise too.
Also there was two other wagons at the show as well. It was the first time I got to meet anybody else with a wagon so I was pumped to talk to them. The one guy I talked to was White Chocolate here on the forum, he picked up the RT recently for sale from New jersey (that I wanted) on the forum...... The wagon looked even better in person. He was a real cool dude as well.
Then I talked to the other wagon guy (Rob), and tried to recruit him to the forum. He said he doesn't know if he will join or not because he hardly uses the internet but would think about it. His wagon was the cleanest I have seen so far in person and it made me want to get my act together on mine. Only pic I got of it is from somebody else and I just happen to be creeping on it at the time in the background.
Updates as far as the car goes....
Finally Lowered, got a passenger mirror on it from my RT, and love it more and more everyday.
I still need to post pics of my before and after pics of the drop.
in for a sweet wagon and a cool guy, got a chance to meet him at the ohio honda meet and the car looks sweet dropped...and there's nothin like rollin 3 deep in the wagon with your buds, i love the pic
Well I do have some sad news about one of the junkyard wagons. Its gone. The one I still needed parts off of got crushed about a month ago I was told. It sucks too cause I told them countless times that I need more stuff and will be back in for more parts and to contact me if the are gonna do anything to it. Of corse I never got called and I didn't have the money at the time to get everything I needed.
Also my chances of going to import alliance are looking very slim now. The Job I got so I can start getting real work done on my car is now causing me to have no time for the car or any events. Lovely how things work out.
Well Import alliance is definitely not happening now. Replaced clutch and flywheel in the wagon because both were chewed up pretty bad. Not the actual problem though, they needed to be replaced but weren't the problem. Got the wagon all back together and it is still doing the same thing so I now have to drop the trans out of my parts wagon and put that in. Hopefully that will fix the problem because my parts wagon shifts flawlessly.
Needless to say though after dropping the trans and putting it back in only to find that the clutch wasn't the problem I deserved one of these.
