  • Looks good...let's see some day shots.

As for the rack keys, if they can't match them up, just drill them out and get a replacement set. PIA, but at least you'd be able to take it off if you wanted. I'd just leave it on and fahgetaboutit.

Jaja. When I called about this wagon the guy was like "they're taking it away right now!" Seems like there is a wagon shortage in CA. I might have to start looking at the AZ craigslist... Nice wagon btw!

  • Good find! I saw this one on craigslist here in LA too and thought it looked like a solid buy for the right wagonist.
Looks like your'e tearing into it and getting it all squared away. Good luck with it.
  • yea not that good of a find i hear peeps finding wagons for like 700/800 claean ass wagons and i paid 2200 for a bucket i feel ripped off oh well its over i got a wagon and all i can do is make it better!but if i see that fool again .......lights out ha ha hope i dont see him at eibach!anyways og you live in la ??? hit me up if you have any parts lying around aaiighghhtt!!
  • Yeah, I'm in L.A. too. I know you feel like you paid alot, but recently there has been a huge rise in interest with these wagons. A couple of years ago you could have paid 1000 bucks for that same wagon but you know the laws of supply and demand. Not many of these were made/sold in comparison with hatches, sedans and even Crx's of the same year so there are even fewer cars to choose from, especially in decent condition for a twenty year old car. You should read some of the posts on here especially in the introductions section about guys/gals trying desperately to find one. They all seem to say the same thing, "I called about the wagon in the ad and the guy just sold it." Wagons don't stay for sale very long in SoCal, especially in L.A. I've noticed people even buying up the "buckets" as parts cars because they are even difficult to find at the junkyards. Like you said, at least you finally got one and now you have a foundation from which to build off. I have some parts I might be willing to part with, but I'll PM you later about that. Anyway, here's a link to my wagons and good luck with yours:

  • ok so i took off my broken plastic piece that covers the gauges and went to put on another but it was the wrong one and didnt fit so i put the hood back on.i then decided to armor all the dash and the rag i was using got caught on the mph needle and now it looks like this .........am i fucked or can this be fixed???
  • oops forgot the pic
  • whether you can fix it or not, i don't know, but you CAN swap in another speedo onto your cluster if you cannot find a way to fix it....
  • by any chance do you know which clusters will switch over yr make n model???i have a 91.
  • I believe any model civic 90-91 cluster will swap over. Does not have to be wagon specific but CANNOT be 88-89 civics. The 90-91 clusters are taller in size.
  • aaiigghhtt! thnx i will be on a mission to get one curious though what about the milage?when you swap over your mileage changes correct?
  • udubrx7udubrx7 Senior Wagonist
It definitely won't change your mpg! So I'm assuming you mean the number of miles showing on the odometer. Yes they will be different unless you roll them forward/back to match the old odometer reading.
  • brush, man, brush...

    ah! too late...
    it's below zero now...
    crap...

    ahaha...

    man beagle you be trippen?
  • udubrx7udubrx7 Senior Wagonist
I've never done it, but there's little gears in there that get run by the speedo cable, so just find where the speedo cable hooks up, and then spin that little thing backwards or forwards.

Can anybody chime in that has done this before? I know its technically illegal.... I think you are "supposed" to go get it professionally re-calibrated.
