  • YEAH!!! this whole thing makes me happy. Way to save what was an ugly little car. That is, if wagons can ever be ugly, which we all know...they can NOT :D

I still can't stop laughing over this "unloader" it gets me everytime.
  • Just got these from overseas

Start by removing rear bumper. Stop right now if you can not even remove your bumper without direction.

Some of the tools used during the process.
    559.jpg

With bumper removed flip over and look a inside. My fog lights came with mounting brackets that were still in working order so I will be using these. However this is not always the case.

Inside the bumper there are preformed spots for the brackets. So all that you will need to do is just cut out the form for the light bucket. You can do this many many ways but I have always found that it is easier to cut small then go larger then to try and cut it all at once.

I started with mounting just the lens cover to get an idea of where I would need to cut.
    560.jpg

Score where to cut. Here I am outlining the lens with a tile knife.
    561.jpg

    Very rough cut.
    562.jpg

Just keep cutting until you get the buckets to fit flush. Just take your time and make small adjustments.
    563.jpg
    564.jpg

Here is the finished product. Ignore the red buckets those are going to be painted to match the car when we paint it in OCT.

It seems most people like to install just one light but I think that does not look right. I choose to install both on the wagon.

Here is the fog light switch.

i saw that on ebay, but couldnt justify £100 + shipping, nice one dude!
  • I jumped as soon as I saw it. Shipping was quoted as 61 bucks and buy it now at 149 so i got away for like 211! Thats a steal in my opinion. There just not that easy to get in the states. I had a couple of guys that wanted 400 bucks plus shipping!!!! (another 200) I just couldnt ever do that for this part.

    hope he's cool ;)
  • I am back, changed alittle but back. Please see my apology post in the new members section.

During what i like to call my "off time" I had someone looking after the wagons. It was supposed to be started and run every week to keep the bat charge and everything in good working order as I could not do this. During this time I guess the engine developed a bad oil pump and no one noticed. So the bad oil pump led to a knock motor (that no one noticed!) and the wagon needs a need motor. I am in the process of trying to locate one before I paint. I just can't be without my wagon any longer as its been since oct already.

So the wagon has no new parts and has developed a bad motor. Back to square one before paint.

  • I bought a whole car just for that peice. Paid 300 bucks for the car. Turned out it had speaker pods and floor mats and the original sticker price from dealership.

Also Had this neat thing. You put it in your mirror when you take it to a shop.
