~ WagonStatus Resto/Build ~

So i've finally settled on a 91 Civic Wagon. After going through a couple w/ terrible rust, I've finally found one worth keeping.
Winter Plans (currently):
-Clean the PISS out of it. It's filthy at the moment. (priorly owned my a mother of 3)
-Convert to 5spd (Currently auto obviously)
-D16z6 going in this month (i just bought a complete swap yesterday)
Summer Plans:
- BOOST!!! Forged internals and a monster hair dryer. Accompanied by A/C and powersteering. 300whp Goal
Stay Tuned for Pics and Updates!!!

Good idea. I'll be trying this tonight! I need to get EVERYTHING out for a thorough cleaning.
Thanks! I've been working like mad. So no progress as of now. This weekend though
and hows it holding up and riding?
i might get some ef coilovers for 30 and use the stock strut since i don't make much right now
how did you cut the bump stops?
The Yellow gizmo is your bumpstop
All i did was cut off a measure of the bumbstop (almost half) to gain an inch or so of travel, while still maintaining some cushion incase i were to bottom out. Hope that helps
Oh, and I cut it with a hack saw.
so it just slips off and is ready to be hacked?
im new to all this stuff so i'm just trying to get some different aspects of lowering
thanks man
You're bumpstops will not disintegrate, especially not in a week. They are constructed of a reslilent soft solid elastomer.
All the bumpstop does is prevent the upper mount from slamming into the top of the shock. Its a failsafe that gently stops the travel once you run out of it, but generally does not make contact w/ any suspension components under normal driving conditions.
Granted, if you are doing some serious off-roading where bottoming your suspension happens more than on occasion, I wouldn't reccomend this mod. This is my daily driver, so i don't have to worry about that
i want to see the end result of the thorough cleaning.
haha...
that's an awesome wagon!
