enycesam's 1990 Wagovan RT4WD.

Hey guys, this is the wagovan I acquired. Been through a lot of work already. Unfortunately, I don't have before photos of how it looked. But trust me, it looked pretty bad. Most, if not, all the work has been done by my or my dad. Maybe except the paint job. Only have one photo for now. I'll try to take more soon. Let me know what you guys think so far.

did you just find out the true meaning of what a wagovan is?? cuz obviously alot of people thought they were all wagovans since they are wagons... you dont have to go around to everyone post and shit in their coffee...

and enycesam.. looks clean bro! got plans for it?

Why is it not a wagovan? I've seen him post in another thread saying the same thing.

As for plans, nothing really. I don't plan on dropping it since my dad will be using it as well. He's not a fan of dropping cars. Just need to paint the moldings black again and gotta swap out the motor. It's sat around for 4 years without starting and the motor lost compression.

    Here ya go.

Well, because it's a 1991 model. The Wagovan trim level was only available in '88-'89. A lot of folks call any 4th gen. Civic Wagon "Wagovan" mistakenly.

Wagovan has an EY VIN code, not EE
vinyl interior, no split in rear bench seat
cargo bars, or "jailbars" in rear 1/4 windows

    some discussion here:

    viewtopic.php?f=16&t=3322&start=0&hilit=trim+levels

All wagovans were built in 1988 and 1989, but not all wagons built in '88-9 are wagovans. Confused yet? Wagovan was a base trim level, similar to a standard Civic hatch, discontinued for the '90 model year.

    So...in '88-9 you could get a Wagovan, a DX, or a RT4WD.
in '90-'91 only DX or RT were available.

    Your EE4 designates a 4wd.

Not particularly a response to you but from another thread.

... you dont have to go around to everyone post and shit in their coffee...

Sorry, not my intent at all, just trying to educate. Say you have a nice Si hatch, do you go around saying " Hey, look at my standard base model hatch!"

I complimented the car, it's very nice. Good job, Sam.

    This ain't hater-tech
  • In bam's defense, i believe he's telling the truth, never seen him just "spout" at people for no reason :)

Anyway, the info on what a Wagovan really is is something that we can all use to better our knowledge of our cars.

As someone who's NOT new to hondas, but is NOT 100% educated on Wagons, i found this info VERY interesting.

Thanks for the clear up, guys

naa its all good homie... its just the fact on how you posted you comment... first with a compliment and then..

    Again, NOT A WAGOVAN!..

didnt really seem like you said it in an educational type of way... its true tho.. its like an si and a dx hatch... but we are still wagovans in my eyes.. kinda like when you see and Ek or EG.. people know our cars as wagovans rather than EE's... lol i get alot of EF comments at meets... but its cool..

sorry for fuckin up your thread homie... clean car again!! lol

Ah, I see. Very interesting. I for one, never knew that. I guess we do learn something everything. I've always thought all wagons from 88-91 were "wagovans", just like most of the people. But that's very interesting to know.

Thanks guys for the clear up.
