yo howzit wagon guys! first off i would like to say that you guys are very cool and helpful.
ok so heres the situation i have a rt4wd wagon for FREE from my grandfather (pics coming soon) it has 245,000 miles on it. the exterior is a 6 out of 10 just needs a bath and has rust in the usual spots. it is a 5-speed :)
couple questions.
my friend is going to give me a free d16y8 so what will i have to do to throw that head onto my wagon? i dont need vtec, its just that head is a lot fresher than mines. what ecu will i have to run? do i have to buy the rywire harness?
my future plans are to make this a cool mild wagon
y8 head
ef hatch wing
accord front lip
slam on drop springs
vx/hx/cool cheap rims not too sure yet, whichever is cheapest.
homemade intake
truck tip exhaust
so hopefully all this cost me less than 400 dollars i will have a pretty bad wagon...

    if you are going to get a Rywire harness you might as well run VTEC. you'll enjoy it much more that way ;)

    if you are going to order from rywire if you are on hondatech look for a guy name monotech he makes harnesses as well and they are a little cheaper then rywire i got mine from him and he even traded me ecu's straight across good guy to deal with.

    ok sounds good man thanks i WILL enjoy vtec, who doesnt haha. so i should throw on the y8 head and strip all the vtec parts and either get the rywire or the one from that guy? if he doesnt swap ecus with me which one do i have to buy?

    i think its the P06 ECU.
    P28 is for the Z6 head, but may work as well??

    ok haha melekelikimaka is merry christmas in hawaiian. haha im mostly filipino though! haha but ohh ok this project has been put on a little pause. i have an ae86 and it needs to be fixed sorry ahhh. but im still sourcing parts so no worries guys!
