I did that shit one day and my SO called some Verizon roadside service and they unlocked that shit without us being there and then just handed the keys over when we showed up. Easiest way to steal a car ever?

    :?

i locked my keys in the wagon and got in it far too easy for my comfort. I just took a coat hanger and popped the hatch. It took like 10 minutes and it was my first time to ever do it....
  • shenrieshenrie Council Member
First time I got locked out of an EF was in 1992 at a coin-op laundrymat. I looked around the parking lot and found a piece of hanger maybe a foot long and was in the car in a total of 10 minutes from realizing I was locked out till I was in the car. Most older cars are very easy to break into.

Sucks either way. What did ya end up doing? I know your due for new wheels this am, lol. Bills stressin.....

i make sure to make 1-2 copies of my keys and keep some at my house (in a safe place) and at a relatives house.

here is the story break down:

so today im like "yeah im gonna wash my fly ass ride at gas and grub"
I pull in and get out; leaving the car running; cause this will only take a minute.
I pay 75 cents, wash my car, and go to get back in my car... "shit"...
I go into the store; get a coat hanger, but to no avail, walk back in store full of disapointment...

By this time the guys in the store i getting a pretty big kick out of it... I buy an AMP and
reach for my cell phone.. yeah right; my cell is in the car of coarse... Ask the Gas Station
Attendy for a phone and a phonebook... Call Locksmith... He finally gets into my car after
trying every tool he had in his van... "40 Bucks"... I say Fuck my life and ask if he has a
card swiper... He says "yeah but its broken, gonna have to use the ATM in Gass and grub"

Back into the store, Gas Station Attnedy: "how much?"... me: "do you guys sell vasoline
cause im getting raped out here?".... we both laugh. I go to ATM which charges 2.50, plus
Wells Fargo charges 2.50 for not using a Wellsfargo atm. I hit yes "i agree to be raped by
this ATM machine". Machine Dispensed 20 dollars and lights up with Error signs... the piece
of shit is out of money.

Gas Station Attendy: *epic smerk.... I convince him to give me 20$ cash back if i buy
something. He only agrees because im blocking the Car Wash and there are cars every
where... I buy mambas at an outrages price of 1.09...

    $$
    amp: 2.56
    mambas: 1.09
    Car Wash: 0.75
    Atm Charges: 5.00
    Lock Smith: 40.00

    total @ $49.80

being completely humbled by god = priceless...

Good laugh at your keys story lol

I've totally had machines run out of cash at the worst possible times, so I feel your pain.

I regularly lock my keys in the car. Habit of being on the phone when I turn the car off. Atleast you didnt break anything trying to break in. Been there too lol

Simple solution: Magnetically (or mechanically) fasten a spare key tucked way up under the car somewhere. You'll get dirty - possibly wet - but you won't be out $40...or the time...or the possible door damage....or the frustration...or the humiliation . And the chances of someone stealing your ride are nil if you hide and disguise the key well enough.

Eh, I'm not much for those wheels, maybe the fact it's in red. It's just too much. lol

My grandma used the magnetic hide-a-key attached to her car, problem is she forgot where she stuck it on her car and had to call the locksmith anyways.
