  • still working on the mpfi stuff, unless you know someone that has it for me, its on my list

mirror bar is definately an experience when driving, you can see everything behind and to the sides easily. i need to get some longer screws that will reach all the way to the support beams on the roof, there's a bit of bounce in it
  • about the wheels, i think you're right, upon inspection they look exactly the same to me, thanks.

No problem. My first car was an E30, this was my first Honda. I had more knowledge of those at one point I guess. Lol

oh wow im not the only one who pulls the "hold my hatch up with a broomstick" trick
  • yeah, the "trick" is required when you the struts are blown and you take them off

little update, 3 of 4 of my skunk2 coilovers are on the car, stripped the threads out of the fork on the driver side, picking up a new used one tomorrow

started a little body work tonight, never done it before, not as bad as i had heard, just takes time, i'm filling some dents with body filler and covering with a high fill primer
  • coilovers are all on, and i removed the other three and cut down all the bump stops to 1". i currently have the coils set to 5th thread from the bottom, needless to say it's slammed at the moment. anyone know at what point (thread number) the camber would be better? guess i better start looking into camber kits...

i also got the driver side body work pretty much done, need to touch up a few more things and then on to the passenger side
  • finally...my registration and plate came in, taking the car to get painted first chance i get :D

all we can do is sit and wait ...

  • car is back, and getting put back together. took some pics tonight, just waiting on my buddy to send them to me. very pleased with how it all turned out. however the paint shop pulled all the weather stripping off and just tossed it in the car. i think i'll be able to figure out what went where but if anyone has any type of illustration i'm sure it would be helpfull

It's pretty self-explanatory. In general, the orange fasteners go on the driver's side, green ones on the passenger side. If you just lay them out flat on the ground it'll become apparent what goes where.
  • knowing what color went on what side did speed things up, laying them out worked too. good advice thanks. i think i wound up with an extra piece somehow though. there was 1 strip left about 2.5-3 ft long, all the clips had been pulled out of it and i couldn't find where it would go. and there was only 1 strip.
  • 1 pic for now, sorry if size is too big, got to get to work, enjoy

That looks great! Only issue I would have addressed is plugging the holes where you took the emblems/wiper arm off. Unless you plan on putting them back.
  • Damn dood!!! THis can't be the same wagon as the one on the first page of your post.... LOOKS GOOD! Needs a lip!!!
  • the wiper arms are all on??? the emblems are on the dash, just have to get back to putting them on but i lost the clip part on one, and would like to glue/trim tape them on somehow as well

i have two legend lips in the garage painted, just have to get them on, not sure how well i'll be able to get them to fit though...

    thanks again

Car looks great bro. Came a long way. How far is Lancaster from San Diego?
  • id say 4-5hrs, been a while since i've made the trip...

    guess i hit traffic huh?
  • hey, when you guys put lips on does the L side hug the bumper or does it face the pavement?

Hey I have the exact same problem with my door! I wonder if its more common?

very common. even rust free wagons have this problem... including me :x
Every wagon I've owned or looked at has had that door stopper broken...except for my current wagon, which I still can't believe.

And yeah those are E21 wheels, very nice.

Is this the same iburnclothing that spams me from HMT?
  • if ur asking if that is me then no, he is the photog
  • ThaClutcHThaClutcH Senior Wagonist
Dang thats pretty far. Haha. You plan on going to tha Eibach meet in May? There is also a four door meet being held there in April too I believe.
  • if you want a mpfi manifold with injectors and t/b and ever goin towards orange county i have one you can have i have a 88-91 and 92-95 manifold. looking good? how much the paint run?
  • BillBoardBillBoard council member
right on... looks great- amazing turn-around...
  • yeah, dont burn your clothes wearing them...

    ... it smells funny

    : )
  • i'd like to try hitting up both those meets work permitting. if you get actually dates can you let me know?

the paint ran $650 with door jams and the color change included. i just picked up a d16y8 that will be going into the civic once its built.
