    i did not remove that i had read about it many times that you can leave it in. and even a buddy of mine did the same mini-me in his hatch and said he had no problems at all.

    im not tryin to be cocky or anything but hes had the car for 3 years is it possible that the one in the head was taken out

    nah, the one in the head is built into the casting. I've seen two fail, one seized cam, one snapped cam... both pointing to lack of oil. But see how it goes I guess.

    did this happen after you hooked vtec up?
  • From what I understand, the oil pressure will be restricted too much for VTEC. It basically starves your head for oil and the VTEC solenoid uses oil pressure to work, I mean who knows what can happen. But I've heard of the same stuff happening as AK_CRX was talking about. OIL STARVATION ISN'T GOOD 8)
  • i agree you cant leave that in there. ive seen alot of unecessary harm by that mistake! do it how honda does it or dont do it at all 8)
