  • You have some definite work ahead but for the price of $300, you scored. Hopefully the forum can be of some help to your restoration on one of Honda's finest creations (I <3 WAGONS). The car really isn't in that bad of shape, remember "the cup is half full" As for the door hinge, no real fix that I know of, I've just welded them when it happened on previous Honda's but it only lasts so long (in my expierence).

  • picked up a few things today, got a call from a buddy that works in a junk yard, he was all excited...they just got a dx wagon in. and the color matched mine

i got both front fenders, driver door, drivers side door trim, rear trunk latch, a new set of wheels, new dx head (mines toast), and a pair of minty crx headlights (i think these fit)

i'll see what i can do about pics after everything is on

anyone else need some parts? good bit of that wagon is still left
  • after further inspection of the wheels they are from a bmw, lots of spokes about 1 inch a part anyone know what car/chasis they cam from, pics coming

btw, i rebuild the motor and swapped out all the body stuff with the car sitting in front of my apartment in the parking lot, surpisingly no body has complained, most people actually seem kinda curious

Ah man I remember seeing those mirrors on VW's way way way back in the day!!
  • i can't help it, i like old skool, think thats why i have a thing for ef's (ee's). first time i've ever had one, zero blind spots. if you interested search 5 panel mirror on ebay, there are a ton of them for the atv's, i just looked at the mounting brackets, picked one i thought would fit for the cheapest price
  • so after swapping the head i had a little issue, car wouldn't start...to make a week of trouble shooting short, we had fuel, spark, and compression...the issue was that the screw in the rotor had fallen out and the rotor was spinning freely on the shaft which still gave us spark, hope this might help someone else

I think thats a fairly common problem with D-series motors. I hate when you buy a new rotor and after using it for a day, the metal insert is loose inside of the plastic cap. I've argued with some many parts jockies about this but they won't take it back because its an electrical part. :?

    are your front seats OEM?
  • yes, but i think you are seeing the seat covers on the front seats
  • been a while since i updated, over the last two weeks installed a short shifter, fixed the driver door locks, re-installed the driver window weather striping. here are a few teaser pics of what's to come.

i'm pretty sure they're from the E30. which specific model, etc. i don't know.
  • RevmaynardRevmaynard Council Member
Those I believe are from the E21. I never knew those to come on an E30. They also remind me of some rare Alpina rims.

This is what I was talking about.
