Flying dutchman

Hello everybody,
I'm from Holland (netherlands) and live close to rotterdam.
Just picked up my shuttle (wagon) a few weeks ago, it's in a reasonable condition with some minor rust
and only had 1 previous owner which drove it for 1000 km's in the past 5 years.

Well that's it for now,
Rob.

I bought this car after owning 3 crx's because I needed some more space and liked the different look.
My first car was a type 1 crx (AS 1.6 dohc) which I parked in a ditch filled with water after missing 3 trees and a lamppost.
Second car a type 2 crx (ed9 1.6 dohc) died on the german autobahn after going 200 km/h uphill and puked it's internals out on to the road in a big cloud of smoke (something must have been wrong with it)
thith and current car is allso a type 2 crx, although this time an ee8 (1.6 dohc vtec) it's actually a european version of the ef8. This car will donate it's hart to the shuttle and maybe some other parts as well
Shuttle is from '89 and its a genuine RTFWD :P hehehe although I would liked to have had a 4wd it wouldn't be usefull for my swapping plans. Time for more pics.
Couldn't leave it alone standard for to long, so I bought this last week.
ee9 (or ef9) front bumper, also got the rear bumper and spoiler for the same price but I doubt they will fit.
@ evol911: thanks, wilkommen would be german and welkom is dutch
ps. If I make mistakes in my grammar and stuff please tell me, i'm not dyslectic, i'm from holland (isn't that weird)
Have fun on the forum
First of all I test fitted the ee9 (ef9) front bumper to see how much work it will take to make it fit nicely.
It appears to be more work than I thought, I will have to use the wagon bumperframe and make new holes in the ee9 bumper as these do not line up with each other.
I will make it fit though... no problem.
Second I changed the wheels around, which already make the car look a lot better. Now it only has to be lowered a little, when I get the koni schocks from the crx.
Last of all I changed the steering wheel for my momo steering wheel.
But I do...
I think what you wanted to say is "Welkom !!"
I also welcome you to the forum.
I visited Rotterdam many times during my year-long stay in the Netherlands back in 83-84 as my host "grandparents" lived there.
Honest mistake Dizzle....
its all good 8)
Ik ben een Nederlander "wanna-be" omdat ik heb een jaar in Nederland gewoont (24 jaren geleden) !!!
Goelette, waarom hebt u geen shuttle meer?
strakke doppen, (nice rims)
laters...
: )
welcome.
i'm stoked to see more.
white!
sometimes I get posting errors when posting here and after 2 or 3 tries i give up, so that explains my lack of posts.. i have been reading though.
Looks like the dutch the dutch are jumping the "band"wagon
@ goelette - I wanted a wagon for a long time, but just having bought a crx I could't drive 2 cars. I believe we have talked before on the old crx club forums.
@ eagle beagle - You're not on any dutch honda forums I believe, at least I don't recognize you're car. I like you're car, I had the option of buying a normal 4wd but didn't ...
@H22TCH - jup that's me it's my other alias but I got bored with it. The crx is gone now. You're EK looks great, I've seen it on cch but I don't think we ever met ?
Well the crx is really gone now, i didn't really wanted to take it apart, but there where so many little problems with it.
The rust devil payed a visit and there was a big crack in the windshield, i just had to stop putting money in it... (bottomless pit style)
I just had it repaired a few years ago after an incident causing the front and the back to be dmaged.
Ok time to say goodbye to the old girl..
I hope to have some more updates soon...
Ohw I do, I changed the left mirror with the electric adjustable ones from the crx... now I only have to get rid of the wire on the inside...
I'l never forget the CCH wateringen meet, never seen a guy run that fast and jump on someone's hood 8) The guy had it coming... Anyway next time I'll defenatly keep my eye open for you or your wagon.
