This is what $600 buys these days:
I had to fix:
- clutch idiot switch - PO had wired a switch from batt to starter thinking he had a bad ignition switch - was missing rubber pad that pushes the switch, now it's a bolt
- fix brake light switch - same problem as clutch and was killing battery - same fix
- replace thermostat
- correct the cam timing PO had TB and WP replaced and mechanic got belt installed a couple of teeth off
Now it's drivable so next things are:
- brakes
- better hood - already found in local junkyard but the color's wrong
- scrub/pressure wash the gross interior and fix the driver's seat
- AC needs work - feels like the compressor is frozen up
- replace radioator - cracked where intake snorkle mounts
- stereo
- correct corners - already on the way
- tires, maybe rims
This is what it replaced - should double the mileage but giving up about 200 HP...

you doubled the mileage now with half the hp and more compared one to another
pitty the wheels dont fit : )
I picked up some 17s for $105 with tires, Very happy.
Still need to:
- fix AC (compressor locked)
- finish interior (waiting on radio)
- pass emissions (2x HC limit at idle)
- finish tint (those back windows are hard)
