Shift knob help (believe it or not)...

Hello all, it's been a while I know, but need Civic help, and I'm a bit rusty and know someone on here might know...
My g/f bought a 2010 EX 5-speed. Did Honda change the shift knob thread throughout the years, or all they all M10x1.5?
I'm asking and, this sound a bit foolish on the surface, but would an EF, EG, EK, etc. shift knob screw onto the shift lever on her car?
She bought a shift knob for it she really loves but the dinky set screws keep coming loose (won't "bite" into the shift lever), and now one of the screw holes in the knob has stripped; so I'd like to make her a Frankenstein knob using an OEM one that will be sacrificed for its inner thread/sleeve so that the knob she likes will be a screw-on...
