k20/k24 clearances

i have seen a few wagons k swapped now and fitting under a stock hood so my question is what is the ground clearance with these 2 motors swapped in? for an rt car more specifically. im thinking about going k swap over my current b swap but want to make sure i can still sit at a lower height.

K24 is very tall, I can tell you it doesn't fit in my rt, my hood will have to be cut. Most people I see that do fit k20s without cutting usually have a sir style hood and cut the webbing.

I saw a build on another forum buddy put a k24 in his rt and it cleared the hood. I can't find it on here the search function is sh** tryin to figure out how to do it. Cutting looks like crap.

The title of that thread doesn't lend itself to being found easily. Putting in k24a wagon pops it up in a short list though. But yeah "The project begins" doesn't really shout out what "project" is beginning. So who knows.

its found thats the important thing. now if 91rt4wd could chime in and hook me up with some info that would be awesome!!!! i have decided k swap is in my future and now im researching like crazy. the whole clearing the hood issue was all that stopped me cause i dont want to have a hole in my hood. looks like poo.

If you are really worried about the hood why not go with k20? You'll have a much easier time. If you get a chance to talk with him hell let you know basically everything has to be modified to get it to work.

Why go k20 when k24 does fit? I did talk to him got the I to of what he used. So I have a idea where to start now.

Wasn't trying to discourage you, I just know he basically had to modify or fabricate everything, some people don't have the fabrication skills or money to have others do it for tthem. I've been working on mine for over a year now and it's a money pit hahahha.

Ya me 2. I finally got my awe b swap done put 400 km on it and said this isn't good enough for me lo. The final drive made me very unhappy. I could swap a ls 5th in but why when I can have a 6th gear instead?
