The Black RHD K20A Shuttle from Mesaexport.com

Okay our build thread, lots of pictures are missing unfortunatly as I didnt save them but let me make a start

Anyways, bought the shuttle a few years ago. It was a D14 twincarb model.

Did a full wire tuck and installed some velocity stacks on the twin carb engine and took it for a road trip to the UK. That might not have been a good idea as the engine hydrolocked in the heavy rain there.

So, first we swapped a Dohc ZC from a crx.

again, missing the pictures of the swap, but whatever. This was all not that interesting.

Still the car was missing something IMO, so the next stage was obviously a K20 swap and a color change:

After getting the K20 installed and everything ready the car wouldnt turn over. We checked everything and everything was correct but still it wouldnt run. At this point I pretty much lost all motivation to continue the car so I just left in the warehouse for a year. A few months ago I ordered a Kpro ECU for it, but that one got lost in the mail which even made me lose my motivation for the car even more.

Somehow last month i regained motivation so I ordered a second k-pro and I finally got it running. At the moment i'm finalizing the car and I hope to have it on the road very soon.

How the car looks at the moment:

About time you finish the project Reuben!
Good to see the car finally turned over

Excited to see the car on the road ;)
  • There is so much going on with this wagon, all of it great! What interests me most though is your front end, very nice all around.
  • I'm surprised the EF8 hood fits. I would have thought that it would be too long for a wagon?
