F20B DOHC '91 (200whp) daily

Hey guys. I just joined the forums and thought id post my build in the build thread section. I have included a picture of the previous h22 swap that was in it but it has been pulled and a f20b is being installed. I dyno'd just over under 200whp (197 to be exact) in the last shell this swap was in. Looking to make this my daily and reliable but also ready to head to any meet or local show at any time (eibach meet, hondaDay, ect.) and be very presentable there. Let me know what you guys think.

I wanted to do something a little diferent with my valve cover so I went with a rock texture.

  • Awesome build bro! I love the sand paper valve cover and the spray paint runs. Looking sweet.

I'm curious about the suspension and brakes. What front sway bar is that? How are your brakes setup and do you like it without the booster?
  • wu_tangwu_tang Band Wagon
nice, I always wanted an F20b

What brake booster delete did you use? I need to get one for clearance, leaning towards the chasebays one

That's so rad. I like it man.
  • @quarters i believe it a 91 so ef front sway. I'm running a pretty much stock brake setup. And I haven't driven it with the booster delete yet. I'm curious as well as to how it's going to feel.

@drfink it's a Wilwood mc with a custom made block off plate

    thnx for the compliments guys
  • I will be driving up to HMotorsOnline this Saturday to pick up my new f20b. My other one has somework to do on it and I'm thinking of building a g23 (or similar) out of parts from it. I picked up HMO's last manual f20b I guess. I was very excited to hear it has a very clean Euro R red top valve cover on it. So I'll probly daily with my rock VC and then show car the EuroR VC. Just paid for my motor yesterday and I'm REALLY anxious and excited so I figured I would relieve some tension and post about it haha.

Also heres a pic of my current f20b with m2f4 tranny mated with it. Still not ruling out this one from going in the wago but im not sure yet. 129.jpg

also thought id slip in a lil collage of my last build. Poor mans Type R, in my old ef sedan 419.jpg
  • whops didn't mean to double post
  • So I made the trip a day early and picked up my new f20b from HMotorsOnline in LA today. Really happy on the condition of the valve cover AND THE MOTOR! Haha there is almost zero cam wear or any sign or any wear and tear. Vtec lobes look almost as though they have never even been touched by anything other then LMA. Also I guess f20b long lock packages don't come with a pulley from them usualy but Steve was able to hook up the single band pulley as I can't run anything else cause of clearance issues. Thanks again Steve for the nice motor and pulley hook up!!! You will be seeing me again soon. Pickin up a ef rhd clip for sure! Anyways excited to drop it in tomorow. I'll post more pics soon 170.jpg
  • Hmotors is pretty much the standard, I've used them several times and have always been pleased
  • Another step closer :) I Tom Sawyer'ed my little brother (fat right in photo putting on a thizz face as he scrapes away) and his friends into scraping off my intake gasket. I switched out to my usdm type S intake mani, I use the early 90's accord fuel rail, and 370cc Rc injectors, aem fuel regulator. I mated it to the same tranny as my old setup m2f4. The drop in went faily well but I still have yet to get my pully on there. Going to go out and attack it here soon tho. Anyways here's the pics (I kno... I need to clean valve cover haha)

  • Also befor anyone roasts on me for thinking the wrap and towels are "overkill", idk if many of you have tried putting a dual cam f/h series into an ef shell. Not the easiest fit.
  • Looks good man. Its a cable shift linkage for f/h series right? I wonder how similar it is to the rt4wd shifter setup

Not my style... but give the thumbs up to anything executed cleanly, especially when there's some power!

And that valve cover is tits!
  • Thanks man. I really like your build as well!!! And yes it's the normal h/f shifter cables. I'm planning on getting the K-sport shifter (for k series) and now they make an adapter to run your H cables and tranny with the k-sport shifters.
  • @carb thanx man. I respect that. I'm on the same boat, even when I see cars that arnt my style, I give ups to those who worked hard. And yea I was really hyped on how clean it was. I'll post a couple pictures here soon

I put on the Euro R cover just to see how she would look ;)

  • Very nice,!! The euro r cover looks awesome. I'm not sure how I like the rock texture though.
  • like the bay , and looks even nicer with that motor sitting in it ;)
  • Thanx guys

yea I the color of the bay just it self does look wierd until the motor is in there. I've taken all the previous pictures with my iphone but I took some pics there other day with my canon camera. Here I'll posted so u can get a better idea of the true color comparison.
