Coveyj3's lifted wagon

I searched for months trying to find an RT4wd, even contemplated getting a DX after becoming discouraged. Luckily enough I found this 1988 Rt4wd, 116k miles, pretty straight, just needed a clean up.

It had lowering springs up front and stock rear when I bought it. The previous owner gave me some springs for the rear with the car, so I installed them temporarily.

Next my interior needed to be cleaned!! The previous owner spilled used/waste oil in the rear hatch area and it made its way from there into the rear seats and carpet. :grumpy: So I gutted the entire interior and gave it a good scrubbing, I neglected to take pictures of my oil stained seats and carpet though.

Now on to the good stuff;
Installed a trailer hitch for towing my dirt bike.
Got fed up with using a lowered car for towing so I used 503Wagon's how-to and got to work!
Mid-way
All installed just need to get the pizza cutters off!
Got some Fat Fives and some 205/60/15s, tried some 205/70s but didn't quite have the clearance and I wasn't willing to get too creative with the hammer. I am so much more pleased with the look and how much more functional it is.
Also got some new exhaust since the stock pipe finally gave out and started to melt my bumper. :nightmare:
That's about all of my real progress on it as of now, being a student and working as well doesn't leave a lot of time for wagon love.
We definitely will!! Have you done anything to that new RT yet?
Thanks! I really like the exhaust, sounds so much deeper than stock. It's an exciting quest trying to find the right one, I happened to get lucky with the first one I looked at.
That's not good to hear. :nightmare: My trailer has a really low tongue weight though so maybe I'll get lucky. If not I'll have to find some friends that can weld and fab me up at better hitch haha.
Negative.
Pretty much just drive it around the industrial park lol I know some sick spots when the snow starts flying too
You working this weekend? Vorhizzle is gonna be in town from the west side... might try and get a small meet/cruise/pics organized. Hit me up!
Oh nice! I'll have to look into that, I'd love to have a receiver hitch instead of my draw-bar, I fear for my shins anytime I walk around the back of the car haha!
