Speaker suggestions? Help a chick out!

Any speaker system suggestions for my '89 wagon? I'm tired of the factory ones not working! I've got a little bit of money set aside, but I would rather not go over $50 just to replace the driver/passenger door speakers. Appreciate all suggestions :)

    Any 6" speakers of a reputable brand. JBL seem to go pretty well for a decent price from my experiance

    You may need to trim the plastic speaker mount/weather shield with a sharp knife (heat it with a lighter to make it cut easier) if the speakers have larger magnets than OEM

    ive heard some rave reviews out of the lower end polks but they wont fit without a wider trim ring or else the window will contact the magnet. Ive had lots of luck with finding donks in junkyards that always have some sort of nice coaxials
