Did I see a thread of your car before on Stanceworks? Or was that an other Swedish Bjorn who happens to have a red Shuttle?
Yeah, that's me. I have a thread on SW and one on S:N but I don't really care for those sites.
Hope to feel more welcome here.
swagon: Coming right up!
Tried to edit the first post with more pictures but the whole post disappeared???
Hope that it's just some thing that has to do with admin or webmaster approving the edit?
Well..
Did a joeymod on the headlights. Small difference but a bit better.
Installed a old Luisi steeringwheel and a R
Ordered some parts from EP-Importers.
Tried out the width of the wheels before I ordered any new lips for them.
The next step was to take care of the damn rust.
There were plenty.. But I have good friends that help out!
(The pictures are a bit mixed, so the order of it is a bit off.)
Started to get rid of the asphalt-mat aswell..
Tried how low the car would be.. Not happy..
So I decided to raise the shock-towers... (4.5cm higher and moved 1cm towards the centre)
Testing the rims for the first time. 15x9.5" Offset -5
Decided to get a new engine and Hasport engine-mounts. The engine is a B16A1 from a CRX Vtec.
And some essential parts that might aswell be replaced.
Getting the wheels together:
I decided to glassblast the new shiny 3.5" lips and powdercoated both centres and lips.
Got the tires on and testfitted once again.
Front (<-) 15x9.5" ET-5 195/45R15
Rear (->) 15x9.5" ET-5 195/45R15
Put the paintjob on hold until the old engine is out so I can clean the enginebay aswell..
So we vinyl-wrapped the car.
Got around to install the 12v electric daisyblinds.

I only scroll those sites once in a while for some interesting builds and the Dutch area, not really active there either.
This forum is way cooler!
Billboard: If you check the thread you'll se that it's not a paintjob.
I got the vinylwrap for free and didn't get to choose the color. The company that did it is new to this wrapping thing and decided the color.
It's called "Matte Bronze Metallic" and is HARD to get right in photos.
New paintjob (real one) is coming this fall, I will respray the whole inside, exterior and the enginebay.
The latest update is that my system from Air Lift is FINALLY sent from the US.
It should have arrived a month ago but somehow didn't.
Now I just have to get down to my garage and proceed with rebuildning my upper A-arms so I can fit the new airstruts.
Lowering is not my preference, but I can appreciate the work to do it well.
Bill.. bite your tongue ...
thats almost the color of the rhino liner i wanted for Scrappy til i saw the price tag .... couple grand ... ha ha ha
i love the wrap color :encouragement:
Care to post pictures of these? I'm going to put air ride on my Wagon as well. I decided on Airlift part #75540 & #75440. Also, what are the advantages of raising your shock towers?
Any updates or photos in the near future?
I've seen this car just peppering Facebook and the internet all together.
Sweet ride!
What color are you going with when you paint?
