My RT4WD wagon!

Hey fellow wagon members!! I recently got me a 1988 civic wagon that is a RT4WD model!!! soo stoked to get this, and it has little body damage and no rust!!
I had to get the front ball joints replace, same with the upper control arms, and the alternator.. now its go time for this! I was up at college when i bought her, talked the guy down to 1300! she has 262k and the engine was overhauled... got more parts comming in the mail.. some necessities like bushings and so on... well here is some pics!

SNOW IN MAY?! you never know what the Alaskan weather will pull on you....
so i ordered some new LCA's and Ksport coilovers, they finally came in yesterday and i started to go to work!
OUT WITH THE UGLY IN WITH THE NEW!!
oh yeH the guy before me put it on ebay coil sleeves.
the back is dumped the furthest it can go and i still want to go lower in the future... what should i do? cut the springs or get replacements?
my driver side tire is noticeably closer to the front bumber compared to the other side.. what can i do? adjust the radius rod that goes from the front subframe to the LCA?
DRIVER SIDE
PASSENGER SIDE
more to come!
my axle boot on both sides are shot... have to take apart everything, im probably going to get new axles..
just some Drive-shaft curls
SO! my day goes bad to worse... the lower control arm wont come off the lower ball joint on the passenger side.. I got a puller and everything and i put to much pressure on the ball joint bolt and i squished the damn thing....
it just wont come off!! i think im going to take the whole nuckle off and take it to a shop.
Thanks man! I can't explain the emotion when I first got her...
I was thinking stick with these old school enkies!! they have brand new all-terrain tread so ill be good in the winter and I think they are dope AF! but later on i want to go 16in or 17in rims... or gold 82 enkies, when i get my paintjob... Stock color is my plan, I know it'll be dope.
As far as the difference in your front tires, look closely for something bent or loose. The radius arms you mentioned do control that, but aren't adjustable.
you got your wagon for 275 bucks??! im going to keep the back how high it is, the coil is dumped. and a little lower in the front.. and yea i live in alaska and the snow is a bit of a problem... but last winter i rolled around int my accord, which is on coils to, and it was fine.. One day i had to plow through some snow, lol.. but yea all new bushing, simple things needed to drive smooth.. im going to get new engine mounts and fill them with urethane.. when i idle my car shakes.
And the driver side had a front end collision, nothing to bad, but others have said that my front bumper may be pushed in.. also going to swap my Hatch headlights to my wagon, they are light crystal clear! I got them off a parts car for cheap.
The post above was meant to quote your post. haha but yea next in line is body work!
my engine runs strong i love it! just my power steering has been leaking and grime is everywhere in my bay... so ive been rocking the wagon without power steering... im thinking about just keeping it out. but yes thats my big goal for my wagon, Z6 swap then later when i get my cash flow game, ima turbo it..
Yea i need to find out where mine is leaking too... its a oily grimy mess on that side... and a Z6 swap. and i got a good deal on mine i got the coils and the control arms for 800. but check the sticky on Hondatech on suspension.. what to get and what not to.. then make your decision.. great detail and low price setups..
Idk dude ive heard alot of good things on k sport.. Can you refer me to the place you got yours?
no those are just cheap ones from an auto parts store.. im about to have some si flaps thought. I cant come by a 4WD pair, and ones are ebay are expensive
Thanks! I snagged them off craigslist a couple years back for 400 bucks, new all terrain tread too! muahah this winter will be fun without studs
yea hopefully they will do me good for a while.. and passwordjdm.com
so i got new bushings from honda,, got OEM RTA bushings, I researched more and found out that the ES RTA bushings are crap.. and got new front LCA outer bushings..
The RTA bushings are pretty easy to flex from side to side.. is that ok? i got some plastic sleeves, honda recommended so the bushings don't squeak on each other.
I was bored.. lol artsy
Wire wheeled my metal components.. like the forks and control arms.. turned out pretty well.. i got some rust protect spray paint.. havnt sprayed them yet
the one on the top is cleaned.. a before and after pic..
then i got the wheel wells empty, rapped my alternator with a bag, put clean rags in the shaft openings, and sprayed diluted purple de-greaser all over.. i have rustoleum undercoating for wells.. hav't sprayed it yet either..
before
after
Looking to spray my eninge and clean the bastard! but the main goal is to get the wagon on four wheels again., have all the new bushings put in, and get an alignment.. hopefully she will be done this week!
