ah yeah thats right..ok cool..ive got ants!!! guess from it sitting so long so deff gonna get to work on taking the interior out..hope this weekend is nice
  • Have you tried anything else with the motor? What is it doing, I'm interested because I think mine is doing the same thing as yours. Mine died on the interstate and wouldn't start, it would turn over and over but no start.

From what I've read you can do what was suggested on page 12 and also the ignition coil could be bad in the distributor. I'm going to try this as soon as I get a chance to be back with my car.

Believe it or now, that rolled car is rebuilt. I sourced a new body from Massachusetts and swapped EVERYTHING over.

well what the motor is doing is...nothing lol when i turn the key nothing happens in the engine bay..no starter noise no motor noise nothing
  • Hmm...that's odd, all the fuses are good?

yeah the fuses are all good

    things ive checked:
    ECU(not throwing any codes)

Main relay( the old one still sounds like it works but i replaced it to be sure)

starter( when i turn the key the starter wouldnt do anything so i took it and got it checked out and it works fine)

grounds(all the grounds seem to be fine and have a good connection)

fuel pump( when i turn the key it still primes)

    altenator (still works fine)

motor( its not locked up and turns freely)

    spark plugs( they seem good)

i suggest taking apart the steering column so u can ... look @ the rear of the ignition to verify its all intact ...
  • DRMORTYDRMORTY Council Member
Ignition switch.. In steering column on back of key cylinder.

    Main Fuse panel itself.
  • If the starter isn't even engaging then I would think it would be something with the ignition system. Ignition switch would be where I'd check first, like DRMORTY said

No, I scrapped the fender and the rest of the car after I removed the suspension, gas tank, rear end, ETC.

This is how I got to the rear end and gas tank :)

Actually I cut the mount for the center diff off the body and sold it to someone on Connecticut. This car's DNA is all over the place.

see all that black stuff? not dirt! yup its ants!!!!!

turns out this carpet cleaner is like napalm to ants!
    160.jpg

so i got most of it done and killed a whole ton of ants so next step is get the plastics out and then the carpet so i can clean everything!
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
well i got blue all cleaned out!
    281.jpg
    282.jpg

no more ants! woohoo! i was going to take the carpet out and power wash it but i didnt want to go through the trouble and its decent looking now so i cant put my effort in trying to get blue to start! gonna have a buddy come over friday evening and check it out..if he cant get it to start then the motor is a lost cause
  • 3rd4ce3rd4ce Council Member
the motor isnt a lost cause .... can you turn the crank with a socket ..??? if so the motor isnt locked up....
ur not getting power to the starter .... ( starter works right..? )

yeah the motor turns freely..and the starter works fine..i still need to get my battery charged so i can try out the test light on my ignition switch
  • MattKoMattKo Wagonist
My guess is that a terminal or solder joint separated in a circuit somewhere when the accident happened and is causing all these issues. Did you actually have the starter tested? The solenoid could have an issue from being banged around.
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
yeah took it to advance auto cuz i knew it worked but i wasnt sure if it was coming out and engaging the flywheel so i took it off and got it tested they said its fine
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
so im guessing the windshields for wagons and sedans/hatch/crx are all different right?
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
so i got bored and started messing around with the hood on blue.

still need to do the other side..was gonna do the whole hood to cover the clear coat but i think it would be to much.
  • 3rd4ce3rd4ce Council Member

    i like that ...
    something different ..

maybe color match the blue up the center & hit the front bumper while ur @ it...!!!
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
yeah the clear coat peeling was annoying me so i thought of this lol.. so tonight my buddy that works at the honda dealer is gonna come by and check out blue! so now i might know whats going on with him
  • NycetryNycetry Wagonist
    Edit: multi post.
  • 3rd4ce3rd4ce Council Member
