1slowagon (Daily)

Finally, I had gotten around to take some pics since last December which was when I first got my wagon. Since then I had replaced with brand new following parts: radiator, water pump, master cylinder, new front windshield, new speakers, new suspension (fully adjustable with dampers). AC resistor and new driver side door hinges. I had play(they were loose) on the door, so every time I got on the freeway there would be lot of air noise coming into the car. I don't have pictures of the engine parts or bay. I only have pictures of the exterior. As for exterior I, sold the LS messhies and was driving around with 13" stock steelies for a while. During that time I had purchased the RT steelies they where a bit rusted when I first got them, then had them sand blasted and powder coated. It did not come out as clean as I wanted them to be. Since my car doesn't look anywhere near clean like I would like it to be I did not send the RT wheels back to get them redone. At least this way it looks like it belongs to the car. Maybe I will have them redone when I decide to paint my car (hopefully then the rust doesn't eat up my car) Well, about three weeks ago, my door hinges arrived so when I changed them out, I decided it would be a good time to drill some holes on my fender and see how those fender mirrors would look on them. However, I still haven't had time to take out the original mirrors yet. I only have the passenger mirror delete and haven't got around to fabricating the driver side mirror delete yet. So here are some pics of what I have been doing with the wagon so far.....oh yeah, I also add it some back mudflaps.
This is my wagon when I first got it

Thanks man, I want to get some lips but haven't had time to look for them yet because I work all the time. I consider it my daily driver, but can only drive it about 3-4 days a week when I am not doing deliveries. I also really want to slam it but since I use it to carry my family around is kinda a rough ride for them. And if I had lips I would probably have it all scratched up. Here in L.A roads are getting worse by the day.

Yep me too, my Dad & Mom had three in a row, a '63, a '68 and a '74. The '68 was the best one, the '63 was weak and the '74 had dual carbs and you could not get them tuned together (one would run rich and the other one lean). My brother and I wore out like 3 clutches in that thing, learning how to drive.
  • very nice wagon

It's been a while since I've done anything to my wagon, but even when I do I don't have a camera around. Well, the latest thing I did was replace the bushings with these.......

I had this back up mirror shortly after I bought the wagon but still have not put it on. Still deciding whether to put this one on or another one which I also picked up a while ago, it came of a previa. I don't have picture of the other one (off the previa)but it requires drilling... this one sticks on the glass, so may be I'll try this one first and if I don't like it I'll put the other one on. Here is a picture of it.

Everything is put on hold for now, painting, lips, swapping out the driver seat (i have one without the tear), I haven't even taken the passenger side mirror off do so that I can install the mirror delete instead. Not to mention I haven't even look for a driver side mirror to create a custom delete one. Everything is on hold, because I think I might have damage my Austin mini's engine. I start it up about once a week except lately I haven't had much time to do so. Until about a month ago I started up the red one, then about 5 minutes of warming it up I drove it around the corner, it was fine. However, the blue one sounded funny when it started it up but I continue to let it warm up like I always do to keep the battery and everything else alive. After running it for about 5 - 10 minutes I decided to drive the car around the block but as soon as I did I heard funny knocking sounds, so I stopped the car and checked for oil. Sure enough, plenty of oil on the bottom but none on top. My guess is that I have a bad oil pump. So started back up to pull it in to the garage but before I could drive it all the way in the car died, so I pushed it in. My guess is that I might of damage something, but don't know what yet. That's why I am putting everything on hold so that I can change the oil pump and see what kind of damages I had done
The blue one use to be my dd until I got the wagon.
