My 91 EE2 Project :) From Ohio

So i have decided to boost my D15b2 MPFI Swapped Wagon :) I was going to keep it obd00 and Use TurboEdit for the Tuning a Buddy of mine's friend has a guy who's been tuning for 10yrs on Honda's with it so think i'm going to run low boost like 8psi on an ar50 trim.. :) But in the process this week of looking for Turbo Parts i went to my buddies Eddies Junkyard and found and running and driving wrecked CRV that just come in... so of corse i checked it out :) Has a good running b20 in it so i picked it up for 125bucks nice to have Junkyard friends :)D" so i now am planning on boosting the Wagon for now... and build the b20 on the side for it :) since it has 200k on it.... I'll post pics soon of the b20 beast and the turbo set up when its done :)

My dilemma is now do b20vtec, b20 boosted .... Decisions decision lol What do my fellow wagonist think ?

The b20's have thinner cylinder walls and are not as ideal for turbo setups as most other honda motors. I'd personally go all motor on the b20 with or without a vtec head.

Yea i though of doing an all motor b20... with brian crower valve train... :) Eagle Rods... Pistons or maybe so B20vtec my buddys EG hatch runs so good its b20 with sir JDM B16a Head stock head built bottom end ... Vtec pulls just insane and hits so hard :)D" i like to do something pretty nasty :) ... lol Wat its a wagovan so no matter what i do its still be tight and built by me so it makes me happy :)

What about sleeving and block guard i heard Block Guard can hurt or help your stuff ??? a guy i talked to on honda-tech said ls don't take to them well said his always ran hot with it ??? But idk i never have ran one with any motor??

I dont know enough about b20's to tell you if a block gaurd would hurt it in any way. Sleeving would def help with boost.

First, consider what the car will be used for. Then consider what range in the rpm band will be used the most or would be more ideal for you. Then, consider other things like how fast would you like the wagon to be able to make it down the 1/4 mile. Lastly, with these goals set, you can start figuring out what the best route will be for you to take towards achieving these goals.

Case being, you can probably have a 400whp boosted b20 street vehicle but reality of all that power being usable power is slim. Especially considering the fact that it would take a fairly large turbo(more lag) to get there. Then you have a daily b20 that feels stock in the lower to early mid rpms. Or you can go with a more realistic goal like 250whp on a smaller turbo that sees full boost by 3k rpms and pulls all the way to redline.

    Hope this helps.

I think im going to go with a all motor B20 :) While i build the b20... i'm going to boost the d15b2 mpfi on 8psi with a small turbo.... my buddy does Turbo Edit so he's going to tune it for me for cheap :) so that will give me something with a lil ump biy wont be nothing over the top.... I had a mk3 Jetta boosted on 18psi on a fully built 2.0L 8V head...port and polished like no other..Techtonic Tuning Valves Train and complete stock rebuilt bottom end with arp hardwarer and Fire and Fuel Gasket on Megasquirt Tuning on a 70mm turbo :) Love it on the high way :) 307hp top wheels was nice ... Like i said b20 new for me so this is def helping me out :) I appreciate it... But def can't wait to start :)

Oh lol this is random but picked up me a CR-V Cluster today :) so going to start on getting it in as soon as i get a VSS for the Electronics Speed-O :)
