I was on my way to work this morning and my car lost rpms the motor shut off pretty much it cranks normal nothin tho.. It's a 2wd ls swapped.. Thanks casey
no spark more than likley coil or ignitor. no fuel, more than likley main relay. If your new relay is a non OEM part, its probably the issue. On Hondas you have to use OEM cap, rotor, ignitor, coil, and main relay or your asking for problems just like this. I also wont use aftermarket plug wires. OEM ones are way more reliable.
Im saying I see almost 95% of the non honda ones cause issues just like this. Honda electronics are finiky, at least with all the ones ive played with. i have my main relays resoldered and keep a spare in every car I have. Also keep a spare dist in most my cars. the weak points of these cars are those two areas and well known. Ive seen aftermarket coils blow in less then 5-6 miles. parts stores rarly refund on electronics, so why take the chance? Honda caps and rotors cost 35 bucks for the kit. Its more yes, but its way cheaper than coils or ignitors...which is what cheapass caps and rotors ruin.
or a salvage yard and maybe pick up a spare. To be on the safe side, google how to repair them. Easy to take apart, pretty easy to spot where issues are. The whole deal is a solder that breaks.
Ive used ef ignitors in my Integra dist every time. Just get whatever theyll give you, and dont throw away the other one. its a great thing to have as a spare.
