My first honda, RT4wd

Well this is my first tango in the honda world, and i must say. I love it. Parts are relatively cheap until in comes down to body parts haha.

Here's the story of how i got my RT.

i was perusing through craigslist one after noon and i was look for DD's since my sister was looking to get something to commute with. We were looking at CRX's and stuff. And we clicked on a crx that was the light blue color. as soon as i saw it, i was like if there was a wagon that color i would force you to buy it. we laughed and continued to search. a few pages later there was a title "1990 honda civic wagon" i had her click on it. it said it ran great had some dings, no picture. So i called the guy and we went and looked at it.

we were almost to the house and i just see the top of it and what do you know, it was the light blue color that im in love with. we pull in, and little did i know it said "real time 4wd" on the side, so in my mind i was like "WE ARE BUYING THIS" we look at it, my sister isn't impressed cause it was dirty as hell on the inside, and clunked in the rear end. So we told the guy we would let him know later.

the next day with a little convincing a friend and i went to go offer some cash on it. the guy was wanting 1200 for it, I nit picked the hell outta the car and told him i would give him 600 for it. We stood there awkwardly for about 5 minutes and he said alright. i was happy as could be at that point. then his friend comes up to me and says "i hope you know your really fucking over a good friend of mine" i didn't know what to say so i smiled, got in the wagon and took off haha.

all that was wrong with it was the timing belt was a little loose, and it ended up needing a drivers side axle. so for 700 bucks, i have a decent wagon rt4wd as well.

go to your nearest pick and pull with a "BIG" jacket! not implying anything but ALL scrap yards are for the metal.

so i think i have figured out what i want to do with this wagon.

eventually get a lift from stampern, get some 15x8 wheels and mud tires. Make this beast a lil 4wd mobber.

dont really see the point in the wheels, they dont fit, and you could of used the money to fix the body, but to each his own, good luck with it
  • JackVJackV Wagonist
wheels will fit, just waiting for parts.
  • JackVJackV Wagonist
well this is as low as i can go on this sleeve setup and camber kit:

well i raised the rear up a lil bit and have the camber not as extreme and i gotta say, i love it. Its not that harsh of a ride either, for blown EG struts with unknown coils.

but here are some recent pics at my friends BBQ

Not gonna lie this car looks amazing, that color brings out a unique look to it.

Well how does it ride, stiff semi firm or bouncy? I got me a 88 CRX Si, on some cheap coilovers lowered like yours with slight bounce, but its a super light car... Can't imagine the weight of a wagon yet alone lowered like that; which i want, should fill me in on this.
