OldSkool- What's up ! Thanks for all your help before...you should get a gold start for answering all my questions. Charles, who is my Honda Master from Mainstream Performance said he would try blocks...I think that's what you said you used correct? And then maybe some Toxic shocks or something else maybe ?

Yeah I have 2" blocks and "toxic" shocks on my wgn..
Atleast you have more room than me :)
a Turbo will fit alot easier than it did in mine

Wow man...you really go all out. I dig that. Charles said the same thing..plenty of room for a turbo, just less room for other things I need :)

    Update !

Sorry I don't have any pics to go along with it but I've got some info...

DriveShaft Shop made me a custom set of axles for it, so we'll finally get it on the road.
It's all wired up as a OBD II swap, using an OBDII to I connector, so hopefully Scotty can tune this bad boy at Mainstream once it's back there.
The Yokohama S drive's have been mounted to the Enkei 92's and look great.
I ordered a custom set of springs from Eibach to get a spring rate closer to what we'd want since the first ones I bought were way too stiff. We also used blocks in the back and everything looks great.
Battery has been mounted in the rear in a custom classic cooler ( love this! )
My mechanic Charles Warren, who used to own Mainstream, is finishing everything as we speak. He'll put in my hub, QR, and Nardi wheel along with some other goodies...

Then basically I just need to do a stereo and find someone to recover the seats and I'll be good to go! Can't wait for it to be done!

I'll try to see if I have some progress pics too and upload those later. I'm in LA for TG so stuff is a little crazy.

    PEace !

Yeah! We're working hard on it as we speak...I'm sitting in the edit bay right now. Going to be cool. We do the studio next month and it should air shortly after.

Awesome. Battery in the ice chest is a nice touch. I've considered moving mine, but didn't want it in the passenger compartment with me. That's a really cool solution.

Thanks Bam Bam. It's an Optima so I was comfortable with moving it once space got a little cramped under the hood. I had thought about an old Ammo box or something like that and Charles knew we were into Antiques, so he found this and it works perfectly.

I'll probably keep a flashlight and some tools in there JIC I need them. When I was looking at bigger coolers I was contemplating hiding an amp for the stereo in there...who knows.

Just partition the space so that there's no chance of a tool bridging the battery terminals and harshing your mellow...

Cool idea for a battery box  Car is looking pretty sweet! Since your going to re wrap the interior, have a box built into the back seat for the amps.
I did a quick and dirty job for Layspeed in his '79 wagon.. 2 amps. 2 12" subs..

Looks amazing! I remember seeing this car when it was cream with the wheels that had the ''racing'' stripes on them when the previous owner had it. I'd love to get the chance to see it someday. :)

Lookin good with the enkei, the 2nd gens are pretty sweet :)

Glad you guys like it ! I realize it's a little different from a lot of the other wagons on here. I'd love for it to just be dumped as hell, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the ride just for the look, so that's why it's going to sit pretty close to how it is. Once the new softer springs are up front, I think it will sit just a hair lower.

Then, get my Recaro's in and recovered, stereo and alarm, and it should be rollin! Think I'm going to tint the windows very lightly...maybe like a 50% or something just to give it a smoky look.

I just can't wait to drive it and put some miles on it ! It's been a long build....but when you want to do it right, it takes time.

I love this wagon! any new updates?
  • Why has it not made the show yet?? Should've pitched them to do an all wagon episode. I know you have the roadmaster wagon too (my brother talked to you about buying it lol)
