SO...here's a little update. I've been really busy working on the new Top Gear so I haven't had a lot of time to mess with the wagon...BUT...she's about to be wearing her new coat of paint. There was a lot more rust on the car than I thought, and my friend cut all of it out, plus he shaved the side trim while he was at it. This thing looks so straight in person....
I also picked up a set of 13x6 Epsilon wheels which I think will look great on here once I clean them up a bit. Hope you like it..Can't wait for it to get its new heart and new coat of paint.
Doors are off ! It's getting jammed in the next few days !!!
Plus I bought an '80 Hatch so I can use the circular headlights and the better looking grille. I can't wait to get this thing on the road.
Mainstream Performance is doing the swap, then I have to get my interior redone...I've got a nice set of GLi Recaros going into it too...Hopefully I can find a good interior shop that won't charge me an arm and a leg.
Car is finished with paint. Really looks great and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Brian did an incredible job. It's tank Green, factory nissan color. We decided to paint the pitted chrome stuff rather than put it back looking half assed. I like how it kind of changed it to more of a prelude-ish look to it.
Also, we started a roof rack, and I like the bones of it, but I'm going to redo it..I wasn't there and my carpenter friend can really make it kick ass.
So it's pretty sweet in my opinion. Now, the car is at Mainstream Performance in Dallas,GA where Charles is working his magic.
Swap is from a 96 Integra LS. He has 33'' of clearance for 37'' of motor and tranny, but he's a magician and got it to work. It now has mounts since this picture was taken. Lots of little stuff to figure out...like trying to keep AC cause it's damn hot down here in ATL in the summers, possible new gauge cluster, wether or not a KiddRacing header will fit...what axles to use since the factory ones are way too long.
Plus, I'm going to be running a new set of Enkei 92's on it, and I'm doing the debate of 15x7 35mm+ or 15x8 25mm+ and KW Suspension is still trying to figure out what we could use on the front to get this thing down since the struts on this are a little weird. I'm open to any suggestions you guys have...the guy before me used oem DC springs and struts with some crazy washer/bolt action to keep them in. Slammed it and in theory still had travel, but it wasn't done right.
Then, get my recaro's recovered, get a stereo in there, and hopefully one of my friends will take it to Import Alliance if it's done in time since I'm sure I'll be on the road, either with NASCAR or Top Gear.
True...but...It won't be exact color match...and honestly, I'm still a goober, so I might just try to use a color that will match some of the new interior Which will resemble some of the shirts I wore on Top Gear this season...ha.
JDMWagon- I'm thinking the same thing, but if I had known I was going to run those originally, I might have tried to roll those fenders a bit...who knows. I might just throw one on and if it looks terrible, I'll go with the 15x7's.
I'm thinking of running the gold ones, especially since I have tan interior, but I might be swayed the to gunmetalish color.
It might just make an appearance one day It's on the History Website on our page under the videos..you can see it in pieces and before the paint. It has come a long way already and has even further to go.

That sounds good, I just hate when there is a red car with a purple bay or something. lol I'll shoot you a message on Facebook a little closer to IA so we can see how things are looking!
awesome!, i just picked up a 83 wagon my self, with the hondamatic though, oh well its still an awesome car, iam also still trying to figure out how to lower mine as well, fronts wouldnt be to hard, its the real thats the real problem
On the back I've heard you can remove the leafs except for the biggest one and bring it way down. The guy before me flipped the springs against themselves but it didn't work and they were all cracking from the pressure.
At SEMA I met a couple nice guys from Progress springs and they explained to me how a spring show could de-arch them and how to measure it...so that might be a good option. I just don't want it to ride like total ass...that's my thing.
Progress knows their stuff. I've been running their Time Attack kit on my CRX "race car" for the last 3 years. Love it. Actually, my CRX is one of the Team Progress rides.
lol, my friend told me you had a wagon. Never would have thought you'd show up on HCW.
LoudNSlow- I don't own one, but I really want one....I was super excited about the one I used for the show and was sad we had to beat it up so much.
OldSkool- What's up ! Thanks for all your help before...you should get a gold start for answering all my questions. Charles, who is my Honda Master from Mainstream Performance said he would try blocks...I think that's what you said you used correct? And then maybe some Toxic shocks or something else maybe ?
Chris- Progress sure does know their stuff. I can't remember the guys I met, but I'll look for their card...maybe you know them. REally nice guys.

I'm about to call HaSport so I can order some goodies for it, but now I have to figure out what color to paint the bay....Hmmm.
Just paint match it! Don't do any crazy jdm paint in your bay. I think this thing needs a Restomod sense to it and not a 95+ Civic JDMTYTE appeal.

That's me!
Thanks !
