So sorry to mislead you (i can do that), but i am referring to the JDM Driving Badges aka JDM Dog Tags. i think i'm going to use good old rustoleum? i think it should hold up? if not, just spray 'em again.....
i haven't really done much since its been a little cold and w/ both shops about 60 miles away. i have put on the new IN. plate on, and still working on painting the JDM "dog tags". i just haven't decided what to do yet.
i did manage to get a couple of new rear quarter skins from a good buddy for an even trade a some sheet metal i had lyin around. SWEETNESS!
OH, has anybody swapped a complete CR-V engine and trans. w/ the RTAWD system into a wago?
just picked up some fresh "bottle caps" today and lying next to them is the fresh rear quarter skins that i traded...
can't wait 'til this weekend to pickup the other wagon. comes w/ spare 6spd (w/bad 2nd gear), set of old "ninja star" prelude rims w/descent tires, another set of steelies w/ blizzaks, spare set of rear trailing arms, and a rebuilt D15z1 (thats going into my rex). alot more new/replaced parts on a rusty shell. i think i know whats going to happen to the rio parts wagon now!
anybody know someone who need some nice center caps for their beemer :?:
keep U all posted!
by the way, finally got my hands on a descent digital camera w/video, but the battery life sucks. :x ahwell....it was free.
here is some pics i took today after i gave the bearded drwagon a bath w/ the bottle caps. i just installed them yesterday w/ some Pirelli P5 185/65/14 and i think they look pretty good
503wagon, if CF means custom fab., then yes...2-1/2" x .065wall (thick) aluminized-tubing from exhaust manifold to muffler tip. there is also about 36" of resonator and a muffler thats about 24" in length. basically, to keep the droning to a bare minimum on freeway speeds and keep the nice deep tone when lifting off.
also i will be selling some parts once i receive the keys for the new family member and get back home to do some major tear down. i will take pics as needed once i figure out which is going.
Well, when you're ready, I'm down for some seat skins (whole front and rear seats if possible), GRey carpet, and rear speaker pods (if ya got em), and left rear side molding. THANKS!
WE'RE BACK! finally after about 20hrs. of driving and some site seeing, our new/old baby blue grandpa is in our pod.
it was a nerve racking trip back w/ the baby blue acting up when @ lower rpms (under 3,000 to be exact) it hesitates and stutters. i know the D15z1 are infamous for being a little picky, but all set aside, runs like a raped ape! i will be checking into this matter soon but if anyone has ideas feel free.
THat shit was eBay and all of jaxed...you get him to lower the price? Damn, you gotta have wagon fever lol! I think the majority of us here have wagon fever (wagovan and RT) haha! Nice pickup!
i first found ol' babe on a random search, then on ebay. go figure. i've decided to keep the new project wagon @ a bare minimum and use the spare interior for the daily. so that said all the interior from ol' babe is going (w/o ints.cluster, integra c.c., and possibly doors).
but like i said the tear down is still in progress, so if there's something want, need, etc., throw out a question.
check the link above the pics from the pick-up of ol' babe to see some details. the body is ruff but like most hondas interiors sweet. it did come w/ the original driver seat that i have no need for. let me know. thanks for taking the time. cheers!!!
well turns out the wago we picked up in MN. was none other than vtecn8ive from this very forum. i am sorry for what you're about to see, bro. but yeah, we made it! thanks.
