thanks buddy to be honest you and your sister wagon along with a few others inspired me to step things up alot and since im fairly poor i have been trying to just make the best possible final product by going the labor intensive route cause my labor is free hahah

ive always wanted to do something like this the sheetmetal firewall with no break break booster or clutch master is gunna make it one of a kind or atleast only the 2nd time ive ever seen it done on a honda. be sure u keep all your break lines even lenghts or u will have more stopping power from one wheel to the other and might be hard to control a hard stop. BTW what are u going to do about break lines? bend your own hardlines or go with braided stainless?
  • turbo_tegturbo_teg Council Member
just an idea but would u consider shaving the core support and run just hood pins? it would clean up all that nasty hood latch crap up so nice.
  • sic944tsic944t Wagonist
i am just gonna go with hardlines they are cheap and i allready have a flaring tool
and that is a very good idea i guess ill think it over but i personally do not like hood pins only anything but like big block chevelle drag cars !

my oh my... here's to you for building an awesome Honda. There certainly is a lot of work involved... any ideas as to how long the project might take to complete? Something of this magnitude could take years if you where only working in your spare time...

well here are some more pics from today as far as this goes i took it all apart cleaned it like a madman redid the interior and worked on the engine ............ and then took it all apart cause i wasnt happy but it was a great learning experience ha i think i have like 30 hours in it at this moment im kinda rushing through it cause i just want it done

i agree hood pins on hondas arent very attractive

is that bondo or some sort of seam sealent?
  • sic944tsic944t Wagonist
its called usc icing i did alot of research on honda tec with guys who have done similar stuff and its stay flexible and wont crack cause that was my major concern so i guess ill see

for sure very nice change i mean i would probably never do this again unless i just really decided i needed too i mean the amount of labor is just stupid i spent 7 solid hours of sanding filler today
i just wanted to do a car that would really be beautiful and kick people's ass with its custom/originalality so i decided to go this route
i wanted to clean up the the bay and then i decided the car was to slow so i started schemeing on how to build a motor and then i decided to do a wire tuck but while out drinking with some friends the complete hole fill/master cylinder shave idea got thrown around along with the phrase you wont and the word pussy hahahhaha
so i kinda decided to take things to a new level

but like i said its been a real learning experience i had never really welded before i started this project i think if i were to start all over i would have the bay sand blasted before i did anything then i could probably do the same thing in half the time with the skills ive gained
  • turbo_tegturbo_teg Council Member
sand blasting would be awsome or maybe even some hardcore chemical to boil the paint off. i wish i could come check this out in real person its gunna be insane when finished.

the brackets i made for the pedals
    27.jpg

here is where i cut the main dash support bar for clearence
    28.jpg

pedals in place just sitting there they fit great the actual arm of each pedal needs reworked cause the brake is located where the clutch should be, they need moved to the right about 5 inches
    29.jpg

heres the steering column and fuse box relocated i will be able to acess the fuses from the left heater vent
    30.jpg

and heres the crx for kicks
