My 87 rt4wd wagon winter project!

so I joined a couple of days ago, and I am happy to say that I can finally work on my wagon now that the F***ing rain (socal) is done...at least for a couple days.
here are some nice pics i took while working on it.

looks good from this side but then...

BAM! winter project begins!
617.jpg

removing the grill wasnt hard, just gotta take off top bolts
618.jpg

removed the top bracket to make some mor space as well as try to more easily line up everything else
619.jpg

these were a b*** to take out due to a bunch of metal being curled around stuff that was supposed to be easy to remove...oh and these tools are awesome, craftsman FTW!

this wouldve been 10 times easier with the bumper off...
621.jpg

finally I can see the exhaust manifold haha!
622.jpg

A little bit of body work has been done, its a lot straighter than when I first bought it lol!

The hammer that helped me bang out some of the badness out

Replaced dizzy cap

  • future plans?
  • future plans? i dunno, hopefully get it running, im (trying to) take out the a/c, i wanted to boost it or engine swap, maybe a twin cam ZC, but im not sure how a carburetor works, so im not sure any of these options would be simple or easy to do, compared to a FI wagon lol

thanks again everyone for looking, I ran into a weird idle situation(car starts and runs, but after a few minutes it dies). gonna buy a carb rebuild kit (something I should do anyways) and check if I see anything funky goin on...
