Merked98's 3rd Gen!

Hey everyone! I have been following along here and there and keeping somewhat quiet I guess. But I have seen one other 3rd Gen on here! Thats all? But anyway I got this thing pretty rough. But it was worth what I paid for it, but we wont discuss that amount lol. It didnt run so I tore apart the distributer and rebuilt it. New ingition module, new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, oil filter, oil change one rear wheel cylinder and rear brakes. And that did it. And I bought these alum. honda wheels with new snow tires on them. No exhaust either. Im in college and cant afford it right now lol. But this is going to be a slow build but you need to follow along to see whats going on. Got some rare wheels on the way, roof rack on the way, headliner material on the way, and going to get slammed! It had springs in the back and torsions in the front. The torsions im not worried about but the springs in teh back I am. The only way I have found to make it as low as I want it to cut em. O well I guess. But stay tuned for some boring college wagovan work. Thanks

This is my wago and my sr swapped hardbody

  • Here is yesterdays boring work. I took off the nose pannel, it didnt have an emblem and was all dented up and started surface rusting. So I brought it in my appartment and commenced the body work. Shaved it and used a ballpean and a claw hammer on some dents. and then bondo to smooth it all out. Turned out like this.
  • Today I attempted the torsion lowering. Took 5 min. but this is all the adjustment I had so I am going to get some grade 5 longer bolts so i have more adjustment.
  • got my hatch opened today and got a new one coming from va. got my headliner out, got all the trim out and cleanedup! now just time to wait for parts!

some honda floor mats (condition doesnt matter, Im going to rewrap them)
    some extreme fender flares
    an 18-22'' resonator

    new carpet
    wood grain steering wheel

Tail lights: Check all your fuses(underhood and under you dash) Bulbs and if all else fail get a test light and check the wires and plugs for all your lights that are not working. I know it sounds dumb but a lot of times it's the easiest things that need replacing.
I'm really digging your wagon. It's clean! I like your rims too.

thanks man!! I checked fuses and bulbs. Im guna go buy a test light today.

They're only like $5 at autozone or walmart. Check the light bulb sockets and work your way to the dash with the test light. Make sure to check ALL your fuses thoroughly. I've had fuses "look" good but were trashed. Use the test light on both sides of the fuses to make sure that power is going to both sides of the fuses. If it isn't than replace that fuse and check it again.
  • my tailights work just not my breakllights but ill give her a thourough diagnosing when it warms up tomorrow.

That's a two man deal right there. Have someone press the brakes while you check the sockets with the test light. My father in laws truck was doing this and even though his fuse looked good I checked with the test light and no power going through it. One fuse later, BAM brake lights were back. OR, it coould be the switch underneath the dash where the brake pedal is. It will be at the end of the brake pedal on the top. Check that! This happened to my old CRX. Switch went out and no brake lights. Let me know how this goes for you.
  • I appreciate it man. ill check her out tomorrow! and then ill let you know what i come up with
  • kind of like a late christmas
got my wind fairing and clips for my rack, hondacivicwagon.com sticker, cd player adapter, and a care package from my rents including: webcam, candy, boxers, and a gift card to radio shack.

Did you ever fix your brake lights?
  • naw ive been super busy. ill prolly go out right now with my flashlight and my multimeter and see if i have power in the fuse panel on that number. cause the fuse is good and its also the same fuse for the horn and the horn doesnt work either
  • Finally! Roof rack and headliner!!!
