i also have fat 5's on mine but i painted them white since the previous owner had them gold..thinking of polishing them.

Didn't really even polish mine. Aircraft stripper is a wonderful thing! When it pulls the factory clear coat off there's a pretty nice polished finish under there.

Thanks for the compliment. I have fun with the little car. I've got another A6 shortblock in my shop that I'm rebuilding right now. The original bottom end is pretty tired. Can't wait to have the whole motor fresh. It's pretty peppy with the head swap, should be even more fun with a fresh bottom end.

yeah i used aircraft stripper on the wheels but it looked like he took a grinder to them so the only thing i could do was paint or polish them..where did you get the paint for the VC?

Bummer on the finish under the clear coat!!! guess i just got lucky.
I went to the local auto paint place and the made me a rattle can off the factory paint code. I told them it would be for a valve cover. They recommended that i do a few coats, letting each dry in the sun for a few days, and then clear coat the whole thing.
    So far so good!

DRMORTY... My yard is just flat dangerous, fun though!!! And the "four wheeler", is actually a 84' honda atc 200. No suspension at all. It's fun to watch somebody throw a few laps around the track, get comfortable, get cocky, and then wad it up real good.

Actually a friend we're going riding with this afternoon is a badass fabricator. He's gonna take a look and give me a quote. I've got a nice little trailer..... just no way to hook it for now :( .

Got the hitch put on. Drags my little trailer with my yz426 on it very nicely!
I need to get one of those taller balls because it's tilted so far forward that I'm sure it's transferring way too much weight forward onto the tongue.

man... something went horribly wrong when I downloaded this picture. picture quality if worse than crap!

with the rear seat bottoms flipped up it fit nicely in there.
I went to the local auto paint place, gave them the factory paint code, and they mixed me up a spray can of the factory color. Cost me about $15, still have about 7/8 of the can left.
  • looks good

Finally got around to doing my ac. Replaced the compressor and the reciever/ dryer. I pulled and cleaned the evaporator from under the dash and also replace the expansion valve. It's super nice having a good strong air conditioning system in the wagon now! One of the best "upgrades" I've done to date.

Used the wagon to drag my 79' honda atc70 to a friends this afternoon. I def got some funny looks. Not your common rig.
